SECTION 4: FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD DATA
Flash Point > 200篎 (93篊)
Auto-Ignition Temperature: N/D
Upper Flammable Limit (%vol.): N/D
Lower Flammable Limit (%vol.): N/D
Extinguishing Media: Use dry chemical, carbon dioxide or chemical foam. If water is used, very large
quantities are required.
Fire-Fighting Equipment Firefighter should be equipped with self-contained breathing apparatus to
protect against potentially toxic and irritating fumes generated by thermal
decomposition or combustion during a fire. Cool fire exposed containers with
cold water spray. Heat will cause pressure buildup and may cause explosive
rupture. A solid stream of water that directed into hot burning liquid could cause
frothing.
SECTION 5: STABILITY AND REACTIVITY DATA
Stability: Stable under normal storage conditions.
Incompatibility: This product will react with alkali or alkaline earth materials (Al, Zn, Be, Cu),
strong acids and strong oxidizing agents.
It will react rapidly with isocyanate.
Hazardous products of
decomposition: By high heat and fire: Carbon Monoxide, Carbon Dioxide, Oxides of Nitrogen,
ammonia, aldehydes, ketones & low molecular weight organic fragments.
Hazardous Polymerization: Will not occur.
SECTION 6: HEALTH HAZARD DATA
Route of entry: Eye contact, Skin contact, Inhalation, Ingestion.
Eye contact: Product liquids, aerosols or vapors are irritating. Vapors may cause a transient
condition known as glaucopsia, resulting in a blurring of vision against a bluish
haze and the appearance of halos around bright objects.
Skin contact: May cause moderate irritation, defatting and dermatitis. May cause allergic skin
reaction.
Inhalation: At high concentrations, fluorocarbons can lead to light-headedness, giddiness, and
shortness of breath and possible narcosis. There have been reports that exposure to
high concentrations of fluorocarbons may include cardiac arrhythmia in some
individuals. Vaporization of excessive amounts of the fluorocarbon component
can delete or replace oxygen necessary for breathing. Excessive inhalation of
vapors can cause respiration irritation, dizziness, headache, nausea and
asphyxiation.
Ingestion: May cause nausea, abdominal pains, vomiting and diarrhea. May also cause
irritation to throat, esophagus and stomach.
SECTION 7: FIRST AID MEASURES
Eye contact Immediately flush eyes with running water for a minimum of 15 minutes. Hold
eyelids open during flushing. If irritations persist, repeat flushing. Obtain medical
attention immediately.

Skin contact In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of soap and water. Remove
contaminated clothing. Wash clothing before reuse. If the irritations persist, obtain
medical attention.
Inhalation If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If
breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Obtain medical attention.
Ingestion Get immediate medical attention. Treat any all effects symptomatically and
supportively.
SECTION 8: PERSONAL PROTECTION
Handling Precautions: Avoid personal contact with the product or reaction mixture. Use only with
adequate ventilation to ensure that the exposure limits is not exceeded.
Eye protection: Chemical safety goggles or 8" face shield. Contact lenses should not be worn
when working with this chemical. Eyewash fountain and emergency shower
should be in close proximity.
Skin protection Chemical resistant gloves, butyl rubber, polyvinyl alcohol type gloves
recommended, and a barrier cream. Practice good hygiene. Wash thoroughly
before handling any food. Wear protective clothing impervious to chemicals.
Respiratory protection: An air-supplied respirator should be worn during liquid atomization and when the
product is being heated or in environments of high concentrations above the TLV.
Ventilation requirements: Ventilation is necessary during processing. Local exhaust should be used to
maintain levels below the TWA-8hr. The person spraying should wear a fresh air-
supplied breathing apparatus.
SECTION 9: HANDLING AND STORAGE INFORMATION
Storage Temperature: 59 - 77篎 (15 - 25篊)
Storage : Store in cool , dry place. Keep container tightly closed, product is hygroscopic.
Handling/Storage
Precautions: Containers should be tightly closed to prevent contamination with foreign
materials and moisture. Avoid skin and eye contact. Avoid breathing vapors if
generated. Use only with adequate ventilation. If contamination with isocyanates
is suspected, do not reseal containers. Employee education and training in safe
handling of this product are required under the OSHA Hazard Communication
Standard.
SECTION 10: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Spill or Leak Procedures: If material is released or spilled, dam up to prevent spreading and contamination of
surface waters, ground waters and drinking supplies. Notify local health authorities
and other appropriate agencies if such contamination should occur. Spilled material
should be contained and pumped into steel containers for recovery or disposal.
Spread sawdust absorbent over the spill area to absorb as much of the remaining
product as possible, and then shovel into suitable metal containers for waste
disposal. The spill area should then be washed down with soap and warm water to
dilute and remove remaining traces of material. Ventilate area to remove the
remaining vapors.

SECTION 11: DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
Waste disposal: Do not dump into any sewers, on the ground or water!
Waste disposal method: .............. Waste must be disposed of in compliance with federal, state, or local environmental
control regulations. If incinerated, toxic and corrosive combustion gases must be
properly handled.
Empty container: Empty containers retain product residue (liquid and/or vapor) and can be
dangerous. Do not pressurize, cut, weld, braze, solder, drill, grind or expose such
containers to heat, flame, sparks, static electricity, or other sources of ignition. All
containers should be disposed of in an environmentally safe manner and in
accordance with governmental regulations.
