Primary Route of Exposure: Eyes, skin and inhalation
Signs and Symptoms of Eye contact with the vapor or liquid may result in mild to moderate
Exposure: irritation. Contact with the skin of this liquid mixture may result in skin
irritation and the drying of skin. Contact with hot material may cause
thermal burns. Ingestion of large amounts of diethylene glycol is
reported to cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, central nervous system
depression, anuria, kidney and liver pathology. LD50 Diethylene Glycol:
1-2 g/kg, rat; LD50 (oral) Tris(monochloropropyl) Phosphate: 1250
mg/kg, rat; LD50 (dermal) Tris(monochloropropyl) Phosphate: >2000
mg/kg, rabbit .

Chronic Effects: Ingestion of diethylene glycol has caused central nervous system
depression, anuria, kidney and liver pathology and the formation of
urinary bladder stones has been reported for rodent species

SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES
First Aid Procedures: In case of eye contact, hold eyelids open and wash with gentle stream
of water for at least 15 minutes preferably at eyewash fountain. Get
medical attention immediately. For skin contact wash affected area
thoroughly with soap and water. For inhalation, remove to fresh
uncontaminated air. When ingested, do not induce vomiting. Call a
physician or the nearest poison control center immediately.

SECTION 5: FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES
Suitable Extinguishing Media: Water spray, alcohol foam, carbon dioxide, or dry chemical.

Material is Released or Spilled: small spills with earth or sand. Wash area with soap and water.
Dispose of in accordance to local, state and federal regulations.
Precautions to Be Taken in Avoid storage at elevated temperatures but protect from freezing.
Handling and Storing: Store away from oxidizing materials. Keep containers closed
when not in use. When handling, emptied containers may retain
hazardous properties of this mixture. Observe all precautions of
this MSDS.

Ventilation: Adequate ventilation should be provided to keep mist and vapor
concentrations below acceptable exposure limits.
Respiratory Protection: When determined to be necessary, use an approved respirator.
Eye Protection: Use chemical splash goggles or a full face shield when handling
this mixture under conditions which may allow the liquid to splash
or become airborne.
Skin Protection: When in direct contact, wear neoprene or butyl rubber gloves.
Other: An eyewash and safety shower should be located nearby.
Work / Hygienic Practices: Wash exposed skin prior to eating, drinking or smoking and at the
end of each shift. Wash contaminated clothing prior to reuse.
