EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
HMIS:
Physical state: Liquid HEALTH: 2*
Color: Colorless FLAMMABILITY: 3
Odor: Solvent PHYSICAL HAZARD: 0
Personal Protection: See Section 8
FLAMMABLE LIQUID AND VAPOR.
WARNING:
MAY BE HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED OR INHALED.
ASPIRATION HAZARD IF SWALLOWED.
CAN ENTER LUNGS AND CAUSE DAMAGE.
MAY CAUSE EYE, SKIN AND RESPIRATORY TRACT IRRITATION.
Relevant routes of exposure: Inhalation, Eye contact, Skin contact, Ingestion
Potential Health Effects
Inhalation: May be harmful if inhaled. May cause respiratory tract irritation. High vapor concentrations may cause
central nervous system depression (headache, nausea, dizziness). Continued exposure may cause
increased light-headedness, staggering, unconsciousness and even death.
Skin contact: May cause skin irritation with discomfort or rash. Solvent action can dry and defat the skin, causing the
skin to crack, leading to dermatitis.
Eye contact: May cause irritation. Prolonged eye contact may cause severe eye damage.
Ingestion: May be harmful if swallowed. Aspiration may occur during swallowing or vomiting, resulting in lung
damage.
Existing conditions aggravated by Eye, skin, and respiratory disorders.

See Section 11 for additional toxicological information.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get
medical attention.
Skin contact: Immediately flush skin with plenty of water (using soap, if available). Remove contaminated clothing
and shoes. Get medical attention if symptoms occur.
Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Get medical
attention.
Ingestion: Keep individual calm. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Do not induce
vomiting: contains petroleum distillates and/or aromatic solvents. If vomiting occurs, prevent aspiration
by keeping the patient's head below the knees. Get medical attention if symptoms develop and persist.
Notes to physician: This material is an aspiration hazard. Potential danger from aspiration must be weighed against
possible oral toxicity when deciding whether to induce vomiting.
5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Flash point: 0癈 (32癋)
Autoignition temperature: 480癈 (896癋) estimated
Flammable/Explosive limits-lower %: Not determined
Flammable/Explosive limits-upper %: Not determined
Extinguishing media: Water spray (fog), foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.
Special fire fighting procedures: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing, such as turn-out gear.
Unusual fire or explosion hazards: Closed containers may rupture (due to build up of pressure) when exposed to extreme heat.
Hazardous combustion products: Oxides of carbon. Oxides of nitrogen. Acrid smoke and fumes.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Environmental precautions: Prevent product from entering drains or open waters.
Clean-up methods: Evacuate and ventilate spill area; dike spill to prevent entry into water system; wear full protective
equipment during clean-up. Spilled liquid is combustible and can be ignited by heat, flames, sparks,
or other sources of ignition. Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder,
universal binder, sawdust).
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling: During use and until all vapors are gone: Keep area ventilated - do not smoke; extinguish all flames,
pilot lights, and heaters; turn off stoves, electrical tools and appliances, and any other sources of
ignition. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid breathing vapor and mist. Wash thoroughly
after handling.
Storage: Keep in a cool, well ventilated area away from heat, sparks and open flame. Keep container tightly
closed until ready for use.
Incompatible products: Refer to Section 10.
For information on product shelf life contact Henkel Customer Service at (800) 243-4874.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Engineering controls: Use explosion-proof mechanical ventilation and local exhaust to control contaminants to within their
occupational exposure limits during the use of this product.
Respiratory protection: Use NIOSH approved respirator if there is potential to exceed exposure limit(s).
Skin protection: Long sleeved clothing. Chemical resistant, impermeable gloves.
Item No. : 83560 / IDH No. 420459 Product name: FREKOTE PM CLEANER DRUM

Eye/face protection: Chemical splash goggles or safety glasses with side shields. In a splash hazard environment, chemical
goggles should be used in combination with a full face shield. An eyewash and safety shower should
be nearby and ready for use.
See Section 2 for exposure limits.
