IRRITATION AND BURNS. SEVERE SKIN IRRITANT.

EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE - INHALATION: VAPORS AND MISTS MAY BE CORROSIVE TO
THE RESPIRATORY TRACT.

EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE - INGESTION: INGESTION MAY CAUSE BURNS TO THE
MOUTH, THROAT, AND ESOPHAGUS.

EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE - CHRONIC HAZARDS: ALLERGIC REACTIONS MAY OCCUR IN
SOME INDIVIDUALS. PREEXISTING SKIN AND EYE DISORDERS MAY BE AGGRAVATED BY
THIS PRODUCT. TETA HAS BEEN FOUND TO PRODUCE KIDNEY AND LIVER DAMAGE AND
BRAIN CONGESTION IN DERMALLY EXPOSED ANIMALS. TETA WAS FOUND TO BE A
DIRECT ACTING MUTAGEN IN THE AMES TEST GIVING POSITIVE RESULTS WITH AND
WITHOUT ACTIVATION. TETA WAS FETOTOXIC AND TERATOGENIC WHEN FED TO RATS AT
0.83% AND 1.67% OF DIET. WHEN APPLIED TO THE SKIN OF PREGNANT GUINEA PIGS
THERE WAS A 90% ABORTION RATE OR DEATH OF FETUS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL
ANOMALIES. THESE EFFECTS ARE BELIEVED TO BE SECONDARY TO COPPER DEFICIENCY
RESULTING FROM THE CHELATING ACTIVITY OF TETA. THE SILICA CONTAINED IN
THIS PRODUCT IS NOT IN A FREE STATE AND WOULD BE A HEALTH CONCERN ONLY IF
GRINDING OR SANDING THE CURED PRODUCT. THE SI02/AL203 BLEND CONTAINED IN
THIS PRODUCT WOULD BE A HEALTH CONCERN ONLY IF SANDING OR GRINDING THE
CURED MATERIAL.
