POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS

Eye Contact: May cause moderate to severe irritation.
Inhalation: Gas or vapor in high concentrations may irritate respiratory tract. Solvent vapors are hazardous and may
cause nausea, sickness, vomiting and headaches or other signs of central nervous system depression with
overexposure.
Ingestion: Swallowing can cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea and possible damage to vital
organs. Aspiration of materials into the lungs can case chemical pneumonitis.
Skin Contact: May cause irritation and allergic skin reaction. Prolonged or repeated contact leads to drying of skin.
Signs And Symptoms Of Exposure: Eye irritation, respiratory irritation, dermatitis, difficulty breathing, nausea,
vomiting, headaches, skin irritation, mucus membrane irritation, or intoxication.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get immediate medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get
medical attention immediately.
Ingestion: If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. give large quantities of water. Call a physician or poison control
center.
Skin Contact: Wash skin with soap and water. Wash contaminated clothing before re -use. Get medical attention if
irritation or allergic reaction develops.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Flash Point: 142篎 Flash Point Method: T.C.C. Auto ignition: N.E.
LEL: 1.0 UEL: 6.0
Extinguishing Media: Alcohol resistant foam, dry chemicals, sand, dolomite, etc.
Special Fire -Fighting Procedures: treat as a petroleum fire. Water spray may be ineffective on fire but may protect fire-
fighters and cool closed containers. Use fog nozzles if water is used. Containers close to the fire should be removed or
cooled with water. Do not get water inside container. Let small fires burn unless the leak can be stopped immediately
and safely. Do not enter confined fire-space without full bunker gear. (Helmet with face shield, bunker coats, gloves
and rubber boots). Use NIOSH approved positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus.
Unusual Fire And Explosion Hazards: COMBUSTIBLE! Keep container tightly closed. Isolate from oxidizers, heat,
and open flames. Closed containers may explode if exposed to extreme heat.
Combustion Products: Carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Steps To Be Taken In Case Material Is Spilled Or Released: Review fire and explosion hazards and safety precautions
before proceeding with cleanup. Use appropriate personal protective equipment. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. stop
leak if possible without risk. Extinguish all ignition sources. Avoid sparks, flames, heat, and smoking. Use spark proof
tools. Ventilate. Stop the spillage. Dike the spill. Prevent liquid from entering sewers, waterways or low areas. Absorb
spillage in inert material. Soak up with sawdust, sand, or other absorbent material. Remove non-usable solid material
and/or contaminated soil for disposal in an approved and permitted landfill. Discharge to sewer requires approval of
permitting authority and may require pre-treatment. Contaminated surfaces should be cleaned using water.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Precautions To Be Taken In Handling And Storage: Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame. Static electricity and
formation of sparks must be prevented. Keep in cool, dry, ventilated Class II liquid storage and closed containers.
Protect from light, including direct sun rays. Ground container and transfer equipment to eliminate static electric sparks.
Store isolated from oxidizing materials. Continue all label precautions.

Other Precautions: Empty containers retain product residue and can be dangerous. Do not pressurize, cut weld, braze,
solder, drill, grind, or expose such containers to heat, flame, sparks static electricity, or other sources of ignition.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROL / PERSONAL PROTECTION

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Respiratory Protection: Provide adequate general and local exhaust ventilation.
Ventilation: No specific recommendation made, but respiratory protection must be used if level exceeds the PEL. Use a
respirator with organic vapor cartridges.
Protective Gloves: Impervious gloves recommended made of nitrile or butyl rubber.
Eye Protection: Safety glasses with side shields (or goggles) or goggles and splash shield.
Other Protective Clothing or Equipment: Rubber or plastic apron.
Work/Hygienic Practices: Use good personal hygiene when handling this product. Wash hands after use, before
smoking, or using the toilet.
Engineering Controls: Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with an eyewash facility and
a safety shower. Use engineering controls to reduce air contamination to permissible exposure levels.
Exposure Guidelines: Use vapor, mist gas mask within use limits, or ventilate to keep vapors of this material below
15 ppm. If over, TLV, in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.134, use NIOSH approved positive-pressure self-
contained breathing apparatus.
