Section III - Hazard Identification
Routes of Exposure: This product can adversely affect the body if it is inhaled,
ingested, or comes in contact with the eyes and skin.
Summary of Acute Health Hazards
Ingestion: May cause irritation of esophagus and stomach.
Inhalation: May cause irritation of nose and throat.
Skin: May cause a rash. Prolonged repeated skin contact with low viscosity
materials may defat the skin resulting in irritation or dermatitis. Skin contact may
aggravate an existing dermatitis.
Eyes: Can cause slight irritation of the eye. Prolonged and repeated contact may be
highly irritating.
Signs and Symptoms of Exposure: Contact with skin or eyes may cause irritation.
Breathing of the vapor may irritate the nose and throat. Excessive breathing of
vapors at concentrations greater than 1000 ppm may cause temporary damage to
liver and kidneys.
Effects of Overexposure: May cause anesthesia, headache, nausea, dizziness, loss
of consciousness, or confusion. Prolonged overexposure may affect the central
nervous system causing coma and even death.

U
MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.
Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air and administer artificial respiration if
required. GET MEDICAL ATTENTION, if needed.
Skin: Flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Use soap if available.
Remove contaminated clothing. If rash develops, get medical attention.
Eyes: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. GET MEDICAL
ATTENTION, if discomfort persists.
Section V - Fire Fighting Measures
Flash Point: 109癋 - TCC Autoignition Temperature: >850癋
Lower Explosive Limit: 0.9% by Upper Explosive Limit: 10.5% by volume
volume in air in air
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: Handle as a flammable material. Vapors
may form an explosive mixture with air between the upper and lower explosive
limits. Vapor could also travel toward a source of ignition and flash back.
Extinguishing Media: Use foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical. Use of water may
cause fire to spread due to components that float on water. A fine mist of water
could be used to keep adjacent containers cool.
Special Firefighting Procedures: Do not enter an enclosed or confined area
without a self-contained breathing apparatus (pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH-
approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.
Section VI - Accidental Release Measures
Eliminate all sources of ignition. Provide adequate ventilation. Flush with water to a
tank or an open well-ventilated area. Absorb or remove to a container and dispose of
properly in conformance with local regulations.
Section VII - Handling and Storage
CAUTION: combustible! Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame. Keep
container closed. Use with adequate ventilation.
Section VIII - Exposure Controls/Personal Protection
Respiratory Protection: None required if adequate ventilation. All-purpose
canister mask or air-supplied mask if the TLV is exceeded. Only MSHA or NIOSH
approved respirators should be used if concentrations are above 1000ppm.
Ventilation: Local exhaust is preferable, but mechanical, using explosion proof
equipment is acceptable.
Protective Clothing: Protective solvent resistant gloves are advisable, and chemical
type goggles should be worn.
Other Protective Clothing or Equipment: An eyewash and a safety shower should
be available.
Work/Hygienic Practices: Employees who handle this product should wash their
hands thoroughly beforeU eating, drinking, smoking, or using toilet facilities. Do NOT
U
place food, coffee or other drinks in the area where dusting or splashing of solutions
is possible.
