SECTION 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Emergency Overview:
Warning!
May cause respiratory, eye and skin irritation.
Prolonged inhalation may causes lightheadedness, headaches and lethargy.
Prolonged skin contact may cause sensitization.
Ingestion may cause irritation of mucous membranes and digestive tract.
Foam can also cause physical damage to the skin due to adhesive character.
Storage temperatures should not exceed 120 degrees F (49 degrees C) to avoid pressure
build up and possible container rupture.
HMIS Rating:
Health: 2*

Inhalation:
May irritate mucous membranes with tightness in chest coughing or allergic asthm-like
sensitivity. Extensive over exposure can lead to bronchitis like respiratory symptoms and
pulmonary edema. These effects are usually reversible.
Over exposure to 1,1,1,2- tetrafluoroethane may cause lightheadedness, headache or
lethargy. Persons with cardiac arrhythmia may be at increased risk in excessive exposure
situations.
Eye Contact:
Eye contact may be irritating. Foam contact can cause physical damage due to adhesive
character.
Skin Contact:
May cause localized irritation, redness or swelling. Prolonged or repeated exposure may
lead to sensitization and/or contact dermatitis.
Skin Absorption:
Not expected to be harmful if absorbed through the skin.
Ingestion:
May cause irritation of mucous membranes and digestive tract.
Physical Hazards:
Since containers are pressurized, storage temperatures should not exceed 120 degrees F
(49 degrees C) in order to avoid excessive pressure build up and possible container
rupture. Also product has strong adhesive character and will adhere aggressively to skin
and other surfaces.
SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES:
Skin Contact:
Clean area with waterless hand cleaner and wash with soap and water. If discomfort or
irritation persists, consult a physician. (Never use solvents to clean skin.)
Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
Eye Contact:
Flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes while holding eyelids open.
Consult a physician if irritation persists.
Ingestion:
Drink 1 to 3 glasses of water and seek immediate medical attention.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
If discomfort or irritation persists, consult a physician.
Inhalation:
If symptoms develop, get fresh air. If symptoms persist, consult a physician.
If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration then oxygen if needed.

MSDS ID Number: M-85749 MSDS Date: 08/05/2005
NFPA Rating:
Health: 2
Flammability: 1
Reactivity: 1
Extinguishing Media: In case of fire, use water spray, dry chemical, Carbon dioxide or
alcohol foam.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and complete personal protective equipment
when potential for exposure to vapors or products of combustion exist. Water may be
used to cool containers to prevent pressure build-up and possible auto-ignition or
explosion. Avoid breathing hazardous vapors or products of combustion, keep upwind.
Isolate area and keep unnecessary people away. Prevent run-off from fire control or
dilution from entering streams or drinking water supplies.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards:
High temperature will raise container pressure, which may lead to rupturing. Cured foam
is organic and therefore will burn if ignition and oxygen sources are present. Hazards
associated with burning foam are similar to the burning of other organic materials. Avoid
welding or other hot work in the area of exposed cured foam.
SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES:
Spills/Leaks:
Use proper personal protective equipment. Do not flush to sewer or allow to enter
waterways. Allow foam to cure and remove by physical scraping. Collect in suitable
container and dispose in accordance with all applicable regulations.
SECTION 7 - HANDLING AND STORAGE
Precautionary Measures:
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Use impervious chemical resistant gloves.
Thoroughly clean skin with waterless hand cleaner and soap and water.(Never use
solvents to clean skin.)
Avoid rubbing eyes while handling.
Avoid excessive temperature and store in cool dry place.
Use only with adequate ventilation.
KEEP OUT OF CHILDREN'S REACH.

EXPOSURE GUIDELINES (CANADA)
Employers should consult local Provincial regulatory limits for exposure guidelines which may
vary locally.
Not generally required.
Engineering Controls:
Personal Protective Equipment:
Respiratory Protection: Respiratory protection is not normally required. However, a
chemical cartridge respirator with organic vapor cartridge and a prefilter for dusts/mits is
required at or above the applicable exposure limits (Consult above Exposure Guidelines).
If no limits exist, use an approved respirator whenever a vapor or mist is generated or if
respiratory irritation occurs. Supplied air respirator (SCBA) is required at exposure levels
above the capabilities of a chemical cartridge respirator.
Skin Protection: Protect hands with impervious rubber gloves. Wear typical cover
clothing to prevent contact with the skin.
Eye Protection: Safety goggles
Work/Hygienic Practices: Use good personal hygiene practices.
