Irritant

FIRST-AID MEASURES EYES: Flush with water for 15 minutes. Seek medical advice if irritation persists.
SKIN: Flush with water, then wash thoroughly with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and wash
before reuse. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
INHALATION: Remove the victim from exposure and move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If
not breathing, give artificial respiration. Keep victim quiet and warm. Seek immediate medical attention.
INGESTION: Drink water and seek immediate medical attention. Avoid alcoholic beverages. Never give
anything by mouth to an unconscious person. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Aspiration may cause lung
damage.

FIRE-FIGHTING INFORMATION Use media suitable to extinguish the supporting or surrounding fire. Wear NIOSH (or equivalent) approved self
contained breathing apparatus. For small fires only: use carbon dioxide, dry powder or foam. Emits toxic fumes
under fire conditions. For Glycerol: Contact with strong oxidizing agents may produce an explosion.
Flash Point for Component 72556 = 213掳C (415掳F) C.O.C. Flash Point for Glycerol = 193掳C (379.4掳F).

ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing including lab coat, safety goggles, gloves and NIOSH-
approved respirator. Collect in a manner that does not create dust and place in a suitable waste container. Avoid
contact of material with skin or eyes. Use adequate ventilation.

MSDS information may be continued on back of page.
HANDLING AND STORAGE Wear suitable protective clothing including lab coat, safety goggles, gloves and NIOSH-approved respirator. Store
at +4掳C. Keep away from sources of ignition. Use adequate ventilation. Avoid strong bases, strong acids and
strong oxidizing agents. For POE (8) Lauryl Alcohol: Containers of this material may be hazardous when empty
since they retain product residues (vapors, liquid); observe all warnings and precautions listed for the product. This
product may contain trace amounts of Acetaldehyde, 1,4-Dioxane and Ethylene Oxide. Ethylene Oxide is a potential
cancer and reproductive hazard for humans. Acetaldehyde and 1,4-Dioxane are also potential cancer hazards. At
excess levels, Acetaldehyde, 1,4-Dioxane and Ethylene Oxide can present dangerous health hazards to humans. If
this product is handled with adequate ventilation, the presence of these trace amounts is not expected to result in
any short or long term hazard.

PERSONAL PROTECTION Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing including lab coat, safety goggles, gloves and NIOSH-
approved respirator. A qualified industrial hygienist should evaluate the need for respiratory protection. Use
respiratory protection approved by NIOSH (or equivalent) and appropriate to the hazard. Avoid contact of material
with skin or eyes. Mechanical ventilation or local exhaust as needed to control exposure to dust, vapors or mists.
Access to a safety shower and eye-wash.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL Appearance: Kit containing vials of solution Vapor Pressure: No data available
PROPERTIES Solubility (water): Soluble Specific Gravity: No data available
Percent Volatile (by weight): No data available Evaporation Rate: No data available
Chemical Formula: Kit Freezing Point: No data available

STABILITY AND REACTIVITY Product is stable. Avoid heat and flames. Incompatible with strong bases, strong acids and strong oxidizing agents.
Hazardous decomposition products include oxides of carbon and nitrogen. For Glycerol: Avoid strong oxidizing
agents including mixtures with hydrogen peroxide, potassium permanganate, calcium hypochlorite, nitric acid,
sulfuric acid, perchloric acid and lead oxide. Contact with Sodium Hypochlorite and Hypochlorous acid may cause
an explosion. Hazardous polymerization will not occur.

TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE TO COMPONENT 72566:
EYES: Contact causes severe irritation, experienced as discomfort or pain, excess blinking and tear production,
marked redness and swelling of the conjunctiva, and chemical burns of the cornea.
SKIN: Prolonged or repeated contact may cause irritation with drying, cracking, redness and dermatitis.
INHALATION: Material may cause irritation to mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract.
INGESTION: Harmful if swallowed. May cause gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Aspiration into the lungs may occur during ingestion or vomiting, resulting in lung injury.
EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE TO COMPONENTS 72556, 72557, 72560 and 72561:
EYES: Contact may cause irritation and slight corneal injury.
SKIN: Prolonged contact may cause irritation and/or allergic reaction.
INHALATION: May cause irritation to mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract.
INGESTION: Chronic ingestion or excessive dosage may cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Large amounts may
cause weakness, collapse and coma. Ingestion may also cause irritation of the mouth, throat, esophagus and
gastrointestinal tract.
