spray to minimize risk of rupture. Solvent vapors may be heavier than air and travel along the ground to an ignition
source, resulting in a flashback to the source of vapors.

Signs and Symptoms of Exposure: Eyes: Slight transient injury and irritation.
Skin: Slight irritation and scaling.
Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: In short term, repeated inhalation exposure to nearly
saturated vapor (4000PPM), test animals experienced a slight effect on kidney function. Skin sensitization tests in
guinea pigs were negative.

Emergency and First Aid Procedures: Eyes: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes. Skin: Wash thoroughly
with soap and water. Inhalation: Remove to fresh air & treat for effects of solvent. Consult a physician

SECTION VII - PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE
Steps to Be Taken in Case Material Is Released or Spilled: Cover with absorbent material such as sand,
sweeping compound or diatomaceous earth; collect material and handle as normal waste. Remove all sources of
ignition.

Waste Disposal Method: Material is hygroscopic and containers should be tightly closed to prevent contamination
with foreign materials and moisture.

Precautions to Be Taken in Handling and Storing: Material is hygroscopic and containers should be tightly

Health Hazards (Acute and Chronic): Can cause irritation to skin, eyes and respiratory tract (nose, throat, lungs).
Allerigic skin or respiratory reaction may occur.

Signs and Symptoms of Exposure: Watering of eyes, dryness of throat, coughing, headache, tightness in chest or
burning sensation. Respiratory sensitivity results in asthma-like symptoms on subsequent exposure even below the
TLV.

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Skin sensitivity results in allergic dermatitis which may
include rash, itching, hives and swelling of extremities. Headach, dizziness or nausea are possible.

Emergency and First Aid Procedures: Eyes: Flush immediately for at least 15 minutes. Consult physician. Skin:
Wash with soap and water. Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. Administer oxygen or artificial respirator. Get
medical attention. Ingestion: Get medical attention.

Steps to Be Taken in Case Material Is Released or Spilled: Remove all sources of ignition. Ventilate area. Cover
spill with absorbent material such as sand, sweeping compound or diatomaceous earth. Pour liquid decontaminant
over spillage. Allow to react at least 10 minutes. Collect material in open containers.

Waste Disposal Method: Waste materials must be disposed of in accordance with Federal, State, and Local
regulations. Do no heat or cut empty containers with electric or gas torch.

Precautions to Be Taken in Handling and Storing: Keep containers closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and
open flame. Protect from moisture and foreign materials. Ideal storage temperature in 50?- 80?F.

Other Precautions: Wash thoroughly after handling.
