Section 5 ?Fire Fighting Measures
Flashpoint (PMCC): 62?F
Extinguishing Media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam or water fog. Fire may float as if an oil fire.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Keep containers cool and vapors down with water spray. Prevent runoff from
entering sewers and public waterways. Wear self-contained breathing
apparatus (SCBA) in chemical fires.
Hazardous Products of Combustion: Oxides of carbon, smoke, soot and various organic oxidation by-products.
Section 6 ?Accidental Release Measures
Small spill: Wipe up small releases with a dry absorbent cloth or other absorbent material.
Large spill: Not likely as liquid is absorbed on a towel. If large amount of liquid is released ventilate area and block
traffic. Absorb with vermiculite, absorbent cloth, or other absorbent material. Prevent material from entering
sewers and drains. Transfer contaminated material into suitable container for proper disposal.
Section 7 ?Handling and Storage
Handling: Do not swallow. Do not get into eyes. Wash thoroughly after handling. Avoid contact with skin and clothing.
Avoid inhaling mists or vapors. Do not smoke while using. Use only with adequate ventilation. Follow good
chemical hygiene practices when handling this material. Follow label directions carefully.
Storage: Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cook, well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat sources. Keep
container tightly sealed when not in use. Do not contaminate water, food or feed by use or storage.
Section 8 ?Exposure Controls/Personal Protection
Engineering controls: Ventilation should be provided in the event of overexposure.
