EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical.
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Extinguish flame form perimeter inward to main
body of fire. Firefighters must be equipped to prevent breathing of vapors or products of
combustion. Fire-fighters should wear full emergency equipment with self-contained breathing
apparatus and full protective clothing.
UNUSUAL FIRE & EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Fire May produce poisonous or irritating gas,
fumes or vapor. Excess heat may trigger polymerization of confined material. Containers may
explode in heat of fire. Exposed firefighters should wear a MSHA/NIOSH approved self-
contained breathing apparatus with full face mask and full protective equipment.
V. REACTIVITY DATA

CONDITIONS TO AVOID (if unstable): Keep materials with ester resin away from strong
oxidizers.
INCOMPATIBILITY (MATERIALS TO AVOID): Ester Resin: strong oxidizers such as hydrogen
peroxide, bromine, and chromic acid.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION OR BYPRODUCTS: Combustion will produce carbon
dioxide and carbon monoxide.
HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: Will not occur.
CONDITIONS TO AVOID (if polymerization may occur): Not applicable.

CHRONIC HEALTH HAZARDS:
See section II Hazardous ingredients
CARCINOGENICITY:
NTP (National Toxicology Program)? No.
IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer)? NO
OSHA REGULATED? No.
TITANIUM DIOXIDE: Results of a study showed that employees who had been exposed to
TITANIUM DIOXIDE pigment were at no greater risk of developing lung cancer than were
employees who had not been exposed to TITANIUM DIOXIDE pigments. Based on the results
of this study it was concluded the TiO2 pigments will not cause lung cancer or chronic
respiratory disease in humans at concentrations experienced in the work place.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS GENERALLY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: None.
EMERGENCY & FIRST AID PROCEDURES:
INHALATION- If dusting conditions exist-Remove to fresh air immediately. If not
breathing, give artificial respiration. See medical attention immediately.
SKIN- Remove all contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and
water. Wash clothing before wearing again. Clean shoes before wearing again. If irritation
develops or persists, consult a physician.
Eye Contact: Flush well with cold water. Consult a physician.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Consult a physician.
VII. PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING & USE
STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED:
o Equip clean-up personnel with necessary personal protective equipment (see Section
VIII-Control Measures). Especially prevent skin and eye contact.
o Eliminate all ignition sources.
o Contain and clean up spill immediately.
o Prevent spilled material from entering soil, sewers, surface water, ground water, streams,
or any other bodies of water.
o Contain liquids using absorbants.
o Vacuum or sweep powders carefully to minimize dusting.
o Scoop up absorbed material and absorbent and place in an approved chemical waste
container and follow disposal instructions.
o Scrub spill area with detergent and flush with copious amounts of water.
o Report spill per regulatory requirements.

OTHER PRECAUTIONS: Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with the skin.
VIII. CONTROL MEASURES (INCLUDING PERSONAL PROTECTION)
VENTILATION: Use ventilation adequate to maintain safe levels.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Wherever vapor, mist or dust is generated, an approved
NIOSH/MSHA respirator appropriated to the specific hazard is recommended. Airborne
concentrations should be kept to lowest levels possible.
SKIN PROTECTION: Chemical workers gloves are necessary to prevent skin contact.
EYE PROTECTION: Chemical safety goggles or safety glasses are recommended.
OTHER PROTECTIVE CLOTHING OR EQUIPMENT: Safety showers and eyewash stations
should be readily available and in working condition. When handling large quantities of this
material it is recommended to use impervious suits, gloves, and boots.
