2. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
This product is a white or linen colored paste with an ammonia odor.
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
WARNING! Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. Harmful if swallowed, inhaled, or absorbed through the skin.
May cause central nervous system depression. May cause adverse cardiac effects. May cause allergic skin reaction. May
cause adverse liver, kidney, and CNS effects. Refer to other MSDS sections for detailed information.
POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS
INGESTION: Liver and kidney injuries may occur. May be harmful if swallowed. Irritation of the mouth, throat, and
stomach. May cause pulmonary edema. May cause headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal irritation and
central nervous system depression. May affect the blood and blood system. May affect the heart and cardiovascular
system. May cause pneumonitis as a result of aspiration.
SKIN: May be absorbed through skin and produce effects as listed under "Ingestion". Can cause irritation and reddening of
the skin.
INHALATION: Symptoms of overexposure may be headache, dizziness, tiredness, nausea and vomiting. Can irritate
mucous membranes and respiratory tract with coughing and shortness of breath. Avoid inhalation of vapor or mist.
EYES: Contact can cause severe irritation and conjunctivitis (redness and swelling).

repeated overexposure may result in adverse liver and kidney effects, bone marrow hyperplasia, and intracerebral
hemorrhage.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES
INGESTION: Immediate medical attention is required. Do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person. To avoid aspiration should vomiting occur, have the person lean forward. If victim is conscious, give
2-4 glasses of water. Never induce vomiting unless specifically directed by qualified medical personnel.
SKIN: Wash off with soap and water. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. Get medical attention if
irritation or symptoms develop. Flush skin with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes until no evidence of
chemical remains.
INHALATION: Get medical attention if irritation or symptoms develop. If not breathing, remove to fresh air and begin
artificial respiration using a barrier device. Because of chemical properties, do not use mouth-to-mouth contact.
EYES: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention if
irritation persists.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: Treatment is symptomatic and supportive.

dry. Do not inhale vapors. Avoid accidental ingestion of this material. Wash hands and face before eating, drinking,
smoking, using toilet facilities, or applying cosmetics.
STORAGE: Store away from heat, sources of ignition, and incompatibles. Keep away from children. Store between 40 F
and 120 F.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Showers; Eyewash stations; Ventilation and other forms of engineering controls are
preferred for controlling exposures. Respiratory protection may be needed for non-routine or emergency situations.
