of supplier; Pregnant rats were exposed to N-Methyl-2-Pyrroridone at atmospheric
concentration of 0.1 or 0.36 mg/L for 6hr/day on days 6 through 15 of gestation.
Except for sporadic lethargy and irregular respiration in several rats during the
first 3 days of exposure, there were neither abnormal clinical signs nor outcome of
pregnancy or embryonal growth rate. No abnormal development was detected in
the vital organs and skeletons of the fetuses.
Reproduction toxicity: There is information of N-Methyl-2-Pyrroridone in the material safety data sheet
of supplier; In teratogenic studies of rats with N-Methyl-2-Pyrroridone by dermal
application, material toxicity was found by reduced body weight gain during
gestation. Also, fewer live fetuses per dam, an increase in the percentage of
resorption and skeleton abnormalities were observed.
