SECTION 03: HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

SKIN CONTACT-----------------Can cause moderate skin irritation,
defatting and dermatitis.
SKIN ABSORPTION--------------Tetrahydrofuran can be absorbed through
the skin resulting in toxic effects.
INHALATION-------------------As described below.
INHALATION CHRONIC-----------Can cause damage to the respiratory
system. Can cause headache, dizziness and nausea.
INGESTION--------------------Can cause gastro-intestinal irritation,
nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
EYE CONTACT------------------Causes eye burns. Severe irritation,
redness, watering and blurred vision.
EFFECTS OF ACUTE EXPOSURE----------Refer to "ROUTE ENTRY" section.
EFFECTS OF CHRONIC EXPOSURE--------May cause damage to the central nervous
system, respiratory system, lungs, eyes,
skin, gastro-intestinal tract, liver,
spleen and kidneys. May cause nausea,
headache, dizziness and
drowsiness. Prolonged or repeated skin
contact may cause drying or cracking of the skin.

SECTION 04: FIRST AID MEASURES
EYE CONTACT------------------------Check for and remove any contact lenses.
Immediately flush with water for a minimum
of 20 minutes and get medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT-----------------------Remove contaminated clothing. Wash
affected area with water and soap. Seek
medical attention if irritation occurs or persists.
INHALATION-------------------------Remove patient to fresh air. If not
breathing, trained personnel should
administer artificial respiration. Get medical attention.
INGESTION--------------------------Do NOT induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention.
