Health Effects Velate 262. No significant adverse effects have been associated with the use of Velate 262 in
the industrial setting. Single exposure animal tests indicate that Velate 262 may be harmful if
inhaled.

Eye Contact Flush with plenty of water. Get medical attention if irritation persists.
Skin Contact Flush the area with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing
before reuse. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists. Thoroughly clean shoes
before reuse.

Chemical Fate Attained 67% biodegradation (by BOD) and 100% biodegradation (by HPLC) after 28 days in the
Modified MITI Test (OECD Method 301C). Attained 20% biodegradation after 28 days in a
closed bottle tests. Not inhibitory to activated sludge bacteria.
