3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
Corrosive. Causes severe burns. Corrosive to body tissue. If ingested, causes severe internal irritation and damage
Contains an ingredient (Sodium Hydroxide) with an OES published in EH40 (See section 8)
4. FIRST AID MEASURES
INHALATION: Remove from source of exposure. Obtain immediate medical attention

EYES: Rinse immediately with plenty clean water for at least 10 minutes, holding eyelids open to flush
thoroughly. Obtain immediate medical attention.
SKIN: Wash affected area thoroughly with running water. Remove any contaminated clothing and
launder before re-use. Seek medical attention
SWALLOWING: Wash out mouth with water. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Give water to drink and seek
immediate medical attention.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Product is Non-Flammable
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Use extinguishers appropriate to surrounding fire
HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION None Known

PROTECTION OF FIREFIGHTERS: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing including gloves and eye/face
protection
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES:
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS: Wear Protective Clothing and eye/face protection (See Section 8)
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS: Flush away with large volumes of water diluting to at least 1% (10g/litre). If this is likely to
contaminate a water course or vegetation or for large volumes contain with sand or granules
and dispose of via a registered waste contractor. Treat as sodium hydroxide solution.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE:
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective clothing and eye/face protection if splashing or spillage is likely. Store containers upright
and sealed in the original container. Do not mix with any other chemicals unless advised to do so by a representative of Brakes.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
CHEMICAL STABILITY: Stable Mixture
MATERIALS TO AVOID Will create exothermic reaction with acids. Reacts with aluminium, Zinc and their alloys giving
off flammable gas.
11. TOXILOGICAL INFORMATION
ACUTE TOXICITY-INGESTION: Corrosive 鈥? May cause severe internal injury and burns to mouth, throat and digestive tract

SKIN CONTACT: Corrosive. May cause severe burns.

EYE CONTACT: Extreme irritation to eyes and mucous membranes, including severe burns.

INHALATION: Not volatile, however inhalation of spray would cause severe irritation to mouth and respiratory
system
12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Classification of the constituent ingredients and their individual concentrations in this product indicate that it is likely to be biodegradable
and environmental problems under normal use conditions are not expected.
Any surfactant(s) contained in this preparation complies (comply) with the biodegradability criteria as laid down in Regulation (EC)
No.648/2004 on detergents. Data to support this assertion are held at the disposal of the competent authorities of the Member States and
will be made available to them, at their direct request or at the request of a detergent manufacturer.
13. DISPOSAL
Product does not contain any prescribed substances under the Environmental Protection Act Regs (1991) but is classified as special waste
under the Control of Substances (Special Waste) Regs 1996. Dispose of in accordance with all local and national regulations. For small
quantities dilute with at least 100 parts of water and pour down waste water drain (foul sewer). Rinse out empty containers thoroughly and
recycle if facilities exist or dispose of as commercial waste. For larger quantities contact a licensed waste contractor.
