System Depression. DANGER: Poisonous if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin or eyes. May produce
acute cholinesterase depression. Vapona is classified by EPA as a category "C" chemical, a possible carcinogen.
Also, chronic overexposures to 1,1,1-trichloroethane have caused liver toxic effects in experimental animals.

diarrhea abdominal cramps, excessive sweating, salivation and tearing, constricted pupils, blurred vision,
tightness in chest, weakness, muscle twitching and confusion. Dermatitis.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS GENERALLY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: Genetic cholinesterase deficiency, advanced liver disease,
chronic alcoholism and malnutrition are some conditions which increase vulnerability to cholinesterase
depression. Acute and chronic liver disease and rhythm disorders of the heart. Skin contact may aggravate an
existing dermatitis.
EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES: IF SWALLOWED: Call a physician or Poison Control Center immediately. Drink
one to two glasses of water & induce vomiting by touching the back of throat with finger. Repeat until vomit
fluid is clear. Do not induce vomiting or give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. IF INHALED: Remove
victim to fresh air. Apply artificial respiration if indicated. IF ON SKIN: Remove contaminated clothing &
wash affected areas with soap & water. IF IN EYES: Flush eyes with plenty of water. Call a physician
immediately. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: DDVP is an organophosphate insecticide. If symptoms of cholinesterase
inhibition are present, atropine sulfate by injection is antidotal. 2-PAM is also antidotal & may be
administered, but only in conjunction with atropine.
SECTION VIII - PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE---------------------------------------------------------------
STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED: If container is ruptured or begins to leak, place in a
well-ventilated area free of sparks and ignition sources. Pesticide that cannot be used according to label
instructions must be disposed of according to all applicable Local, State and Federal procedures.
WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: Do not reuse empty container. This container may be recycled in the few but growing number
of communities where (steel) aerosol can recycling is available. Before offering for recycling, empty the can
by using the product according to the label. (DO NOT PUNCTURE!) If recycling is not available, wrap the
container and discard in the trash. Any remaining or collected liquid from punctured cans should be disposed of
in a safe manner at an approved facility in accordance with Local, State, and Federal regulations.
PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORING: Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal.
Store in a cool, dry area away from heat or open flame. Exposure to temperatures above 130 deg.F. may cause
bursting. Wear a full face mask or respirator jointly approved by MSHA (Mine Safety & Health Adm.) & by NIOSH
(National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health) for protection against DDVP. Wear rubber gloves & clean
protective clothing with head & skin surfaces covered so that no bare skin is exposed. For sale to, use &
storage by Licensed Pest Control Operators only! Do not use in small enclosed spaces. Read label.
OTHER PRECAUTIONS: It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its
labeling. Use 1-5oz can for every 5,000ft^3 of space. In the home, food should be covered or removed & premises
evacuated. Place newspaper under cans. Turn off all ignition sources such as pilot lights, other open flames or
running appliances that cycle off & on. Call your gas utility or mgmt. company if you need assistance. Leave
undisturbed for 2 hrs & ventillate for at least 1 hour before reoccupying. Use of this product in food areas is
limited to residential applications.
This product is authorized for use in plants operating under USDA Inspection and Grading Programs as a CATEGORY
F2 substance.
