SECTION 3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Emergency Overview: Slightly viscous transparent liquid with an ether-like odor. Highly flammable material. Overexposure may cause dizziness and loss of
concentration. At higher levels, CNS depression and cardiac arrhythmia may result from exposure. Vapors displace air and can cause asphyxiation in confined spaces.
Effects of Repeated Exposure: Symptoms of excessive exposure may be anesthetic or narcotic effects; dizziness and drowsiness may be observed. In animals,
effects have been reported on the following organs: Blood. Kidney. Liver. Development of cataracts has been reported in laboratory animals after prolonged
repeated skin exposure to acetone.
Birth Defects/Developmental Effects: Has been toxic to the fetus in lab animals at doses toxic to the mother.
Skin: Mildly irritating.
Eyes: Contact with liquid or vapors may cause pain and moderate irritation.
Inhalation: The components of Pro-Weld are of a low order of toxicity in animals. At high levels of exposure, cardiac arrhythmia may occur. When oxygen levels are
reduced to 12-14% by displacement, symptoms of asphyxiation, loss of co-ordination , increased pulse rate and deeper respiration will occur.
Effects from inhalation of mists and vapors vary from mild to moderate irritation of the upper respiratory tract, depending on severity of exposure. Abusive or excessive
inhalation of vapors may cause irritation to the upper respiratory tract, dizziness, nausea and other central nervous system effects.
Ingestion: Swallowing can cause gastro-intestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Aspiration of material into the lungs can cause chemical pneumonitis.
Skin Contact: Frequent or prolonged contact may cause mild irritation. Repeated contact may cause drying or flaking of skin.
Aggravation of Pre-existing Conditions: Persons with pre-existing skin disorders or eye problems or impaired respiratory function may be more susceptible to the
effects of the product.

SECTION 4. FIRST AID
Inhalation: IMMEDIATELY leave the contaminated area; take deep breaths of fresh air. If symptoms (such as wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath, or burning
in the mouth, throat, or chest) develop, call a physician and be prepared to transport the victim to a hospital. Provide proper respiratory protection to rescuers
entering an unknown environment.
Ingestion: Call the nearest poison control center or the National Poison Control hotline at 1-800-222-1222 for advice immediately. Do not induce vomiting, unless
directed to do so by a physician. If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-3 glasses of water to drink. Do not leave victim unattended. To prevent aspiration of
swallowed product, lay victim on side with head lower than waist. Vomiting may occur spontaneously.
Skin: IMMEDIATELY flood affected skin with water while removing and isolating all contaminated clothing. Gently wash all affected skin areas thoroughly with soap
and water. If symptoms such as redness or irritation develop, IMMEDIATELY call a physician and be prepared to transport the victim to a treatment center.
Eyes: First check the victim for contact lenses and remove if present. Flush victim's eyes with water or normal saline solution for 20 to 30 minutes while simultane-
ously calling a hospital or poison control center. Do not put any ointments, oils, or medication in the victim's eyes without specific instructions from a physician. Get
medical assistance IMMEDIATELY after flushing eyes even if no symptoms (such as redness or irritation) develop.
Ingestion: Do Not Induce Vomiting. Volatile chemicals have a high risk of being aspirated into the victim's lungs during vomiting which increases the medical
problems. If the victim is conscious and not convulsing, give 1 or 2 glasses of water to dilute the chemical and IMMEDIATELY call a hospital or poison control center
for advice. The phone number for the National Poison Control Center is 1-800-222-1222. If the victim is convulsing or unconscious, do not give anything by mouth,
ensure that the victim's airway is open and lay the victim on his/her side with the head lower than the body. IMMEDIATELY transport the victim to a hospital.
Advice To Physician: Treat symptomatically. Treatment of overexposure should be directed at the control of symptoms and the clinical condition of the patient.

SECTION 5. FIREFIGHTING MEASURES
Flash Point: 21癋 (TCC) Lower Flammable Limit: 1.4% Upper Flammable Limit: 11.4%
Extinguishing Media: Water spray, fog or mist, alcohol foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemicals, sand, etc.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: Solvent vapors are heavier than air. They may travel a considerable distance to source of ignition and flash back.
Solvent vapors may form explosive mixture with air. Heat may cause containers to explode.
Special Fire Fighting Precautions/Instructions against suffocation and possible toxic decomposition products. Proper eye and skin protection should be
provided. Use water spray to keep fire-exposed containers cool and to knock down vapors which may result from product decomposition.
Hazardous Combustion Products: May liberate carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide

SECTION 6. SPILL/ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Spill Cleanup Methods: Extinguish or remove all ignition sources and ensure that all handling equipment in the area is electrically grounded. Ventilate area
of leak or spill. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel away from area of spill. Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Only personnel equipped
with proper respiratory and eye/skin protection should be permitted in the area until air has been tested and determined safe, including low lying areas.
Pro-Weld spills are slippery. Use caution when moving through the area of the spill.

For small spill or drips, mop or wipe up and dispose of in DOT-approved waste containers.
Contain large spills, by diking with soil or other non-combustible absorbent materials and then pump into DOT-approved waste containers; or absorb with
non-combustible sorbent materials, then place residue in DOT-approved waste containers. Keep out of sewers, storm drains, surface water and soil.
Contain and absorb liquid with clay, vermiculite or other inert substance and package in a suitable container for disposal. Dispose of absorbed material in
accordance with Federal, local and state regulations.
Spills and releases may have to be reported to Federal and/or local authorities. See Section 15 regarding reporting requirements.

SECTION 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Normal Handling: (Always wear recommended personal protective equipment.)
Avoid breathing vapors or liquid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Do not puncture or drop containers, expose them to open flame, sparks, excessive heat, or
direct sunlight. Use approved containers only.

Storage Recommendations: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from sources of heat, moisture and incompatible materials. Electrically ground all
equipment when handling this product and use only non-sparking tools. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Do not use pressure to empty
container. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Protect from physical damage. Store in a cool, dry, ventilated area away
from. Empty containers of this material, pose no disposal hazard and may be recycled. Keep this and all chemicals out of the reach of children. Wash

SECTION 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
Airborne Exposure Limits: 700 ppm
OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL): 700ppm (Acetone)
ACGIH Threshold Limit Value (TLV): 700ppm (Acetone)
ENGINEERING CONTROLS:
Ventilation System: A system of local and/or general exhaust is recommended to keep employee exposures below the Airborne Exposure Limits. Local exhaust
ventilation is generally preferred because it can control emissions at the source, preventing dispersion of it into the general work area. Please refer to the ACGIH
document, Industrial Ventilation, A Manual of Recommended Practices, most recent edition, for details. Both local exhaust and good general room ventilation must
be provided not only to control exposure but also to prevent formation of flammable mixture. Electrical equipment should be grounded and conform to applicable
electrical code.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Skin Protection: Use protective, impervious gloves and clothing made of neoprene, nitrile or butyl rubber if prolonged or repeated contact with liquid is anticipated.
Wash clothing promptly, if wet. Remove any non-impervious clothing and wash before re-use.
Eye Protection: For normal conditions, wear safety glasses. Where there is reasonable probability of liquid contact, wear splash-proof goggles. Contact lenses
should not be worn under such conditions.
Respiratory Protection: None required for normal work situations where adequate ventilation is provided. If exposure can potentially exceed the exposure limit(s),
respiratory protection recommended or approved by appropriate local, state or international agency must be used. Use NIOSH approved self-contained, positive
pressure respirators for emergencies and in situations where air may be displaced by vapors.
Work Hygienic Practices: Emergency eye wash fountains and safety showers should be available in the immediate vicinity of any potential exposure. Wash hands
before eating, drinking, smoking, or using toilet facilities. Use good personal hygiene practices. Promptly remove soiled clothing/wash thoroughly before reuse.
