When added to water, the product produces carbon dioxide bubbles for agitation.
3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
This is a low hazard product. However, chewing or swallowing the tablets or gargling with the
solution may cause serious health effects. Do not take internally. Do not breathe dust. Keep
out of eyes and avoid extended contact with skin to minimize chance of irritation.
POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS (ACUTE and CHRONIC):
ACUTE EXPOSURE
INHALATION:
Dust may irritate nasal passages and respiratory tract.
SKIN CONTACT:
May irritate skin on extended contact.
INGESTION:
Do not ingest tablets or place them in mouth. Read and follow all usage directions.

Symptoms from ingestion may include:
Damage to the esophagus
Abdominal pain
Vomiting
EYE CONTACT:
Can cause moderate to severe irritation.
CHRONIC EXPOSURE
This product contains persulfates, a known allergen. Allergic reactions can occur with both proper and
improper use of these cleaners. Reactions may become more frequent and severe with repeated use of
the product.
Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include:
Irritation
Tissue damage
Rash
Hives
Gum tenderness
Breathing problems
Low blood pressure
AGGRAVATION OF PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS:
No aggravation of any pre-existing conditions is known or expected.
4. FIRST AID MEASURES
INHALATION FIRST AID:
Remove victim to fresh air and provide oxygen if breathing is difficult. Get medical attention. If the victim
has difficulty breathing or tightness of the chest, is dizzy, vomiting or unresponsive, give 100% oxygen
with rescue breathing or CPR as required, and transport to the nearest medical facility. This is
considered a highly unlikely event.
SKIN CONTACT FIRST AID:
If rash or irritation develops get medical attention. This is considered a highly unlikely event.
EYE CONTACT FIRST AID:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, lifting lower and upper eyelids
occasionally. Get medical attention immediately. This is considered a highly unlikely event.
INGESTION FIRST AID:
Do NOT induce vomiting. Give large amounts of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person. Call poison control center and get medical attention. This is considered a highly unlikely event.
STATEMENT OF PRACTICAL TREATMENT:
Always have plenty of water available for first aid. Get medical attention if any symptoms develop or
persist.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
FLAMMABLE PROPERTIES:
Not flammable. Non hazardous decomposition may start at about 120?C.

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA:

Dry product will react with water and effervesce. Wet product in tight containers may rupture. No
significant hazard is expected.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS:
Physical form requires no obvious personal protective equipment when cleaning up spills. Wear a
dust mask if particulate count exceeds limits, and wear gloves as appropriate.
SPILLS PROCEDURE:
Collect material for disposal.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS:
Material is biodegradable. It is not considered to be an environmental hazard. Refer to Section 13 for
Waste Disposal.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
RECOMMENDED STORAGE CONDITIONS: Avoid conditions of heat and humidity.
SHELF LIFE: Shelf life depends largely on storage conditions. See product label for details.
HANDLING (PERSONNEL): Handle in accordance with good hygiene and safety procedures. Avoid
breathing dust if present. Wash thoroughly after handling
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
AIRBORNE EXPOSURE LIMITS: Refer to OSHA PELs for PNOR in Section 2 above.
VENTILATION SYSTEM: A system of local and/or general exhaust is recommended to keep employee
exposures below the Airborne Exposure Limits. For details, please refer to the most recent edition of
the ACGIH document, Industrial Ventilation, A Manual of Recommended Practices.
PERSONAL RESPIRATORS (NIOSH APPROVED): If the respirable particulate exposure limit is
exceeded, wear a NIOSH approved dust mask.
SKIN PROTECTION: Wear rubber gloves during industrial processing as extended contact may irritate
skin.
EYE PROTECTION: When mechanically working with this product, goggles or safety glasses with side
shields are recommended for airborne dust exposures in excess of the applicable limits.
