Section 5 - Fire Fighting Measures
Extinguishing Media: Dry chemical, carbon dioxide, chemical foam.
Fire Fighting Procedures: Fight source of fire. Water spray to cool containers.
Special Protective Equipment for Firefighters: If this material is involved in a fire, NIOSH approved self contained
breathing apparatus should be worn.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: Vapors are heavy, may concentrate at lower levels creating hazard. At high
temperatures, containers may burst.
Hazardous Combustion Products: Chlorine, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen chloride (hydrochloric acid), phosgene.
Section 6 - Accidental Release Measures
Steps to be Taken if Material is Released or Spilled:
Personal Precautions: Remove from ingnition sources, ventilate and vacate area. Allow solvents to evaporate.
Environmental Precautions:
Section 7 - Handling and Storage
General Handling: Do not breathe vapor. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling.
Other Precautions: Wear gloves, goggles and protective clothing to prevent contact with the product.
Storage: Store material at temperatures between 49癈 (120癋) and 2癈 (36癋). Do not store containers in direct sunlight.
