Section 5. Health Hazard Data

Emergency Overview: Flammable liquid and vapor!
May be slightly toxic.
May cause moderate skin injury (reddening & swelling).
May cause chemical burn in eye.
Primary Routes of Entry:
Inhalation Ingestion
Skin Absorption Eye Contact
Carcinogen Listed In:
NTP OSHA
IARC Monograph Not Listed
Eye Contact: Contains materials that are essentially nonirritating, but contact may
Health Hazards:
cause slight transient irritation. Material may act as a Lachrymator
(a substance which increases the flow of tears).
Skin Contact: Contains materials that may cause moderate skin injury (reddening
and swelling) and/or sensitization. Prolonged contact may cause
blister formation (burns). Since irritation may not occur immediately,
contact can go unnoticed.
Inhalation: May cause respiratory tract irritation with presence of monomer.
Vapors may causes dizziness or suffocation.
Ingestion: May cause gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and
diarrhea.
Sub-Chronic Effects: No specific information available. Limited tests showed no evidence
of teratogenicity in animals. A lifetime skin painting study with mice
showed no evidence of carcinogenicity.
Emergency First Aid Procedures:
Eye Contact: Flush with plenty of water for 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the
upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid. Do NOT allow victim to
rub or keep eyes closed.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and wash contact area with soap and
water for 15 minutes. Get medical aid if system persist. Wash
clothing before reuse.

Inhalation: In case of exposure to a high concentration of vapor or mist, remove
person to fresh air. If breathing has stopped, administer artificial
respiration and seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get
medical aid. Do NOT induce vomiting. If conscious and alert, rinse
mouth and drink 2 to 4 cupfuls of milk or water.

Section 6. Control and Protective Measures

Engineering Controls: Local exhaust recommended to control exposure which may result from operations
generating aerosols and hot operations generating vapors.
Personal Protective Equipment:
General: To identify additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
requirements, it is recommended that a hazard assessment in
accordance with the OSHA PPE Standard (29 CFR 1910.132), or
European Standard EN166 be conducted before using this product.
Provide eye wash stations and safety showers. Wear impervious
clothing to prevent ANY contact with this product, such as gloves,
apron, boots, or whole body suit. Nitrile rubber is better than PVC.
Eye/Face Protection: Wear safety glasses. Wear coverall chemical splash goggles and
face shield when possibility exists for eye and face contact due to
splashing or spraying material.
Skin Protection: Use impermeable clothing to prevent ANY contact with this product,
such as gloves, apron, boots, or whole body suit. Nitrile rubber is
better than PVC.
Respiratory Protection: A NIOSH/MSHA approved air purifying respirator with an organic
vapor cartridge or canister may be permissible under certain limited
circumstances where airborne concentrations are expected to
exceed exposure limits. Protection provided by nuisance level
organic vapor dust mask can be used, however the use of the
respirator is limited. Follow OSHA respirator regulations found in 29
CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149.
Hygienic Work Practices:
Good Manufacturing Practices.

Section 7. Precautions for Safe Handling and Use / Leak Procedures

Steps to be Taken if Material is Spilled or Released:
Eliminate all sources of heat and ignition. Use absorbent material for spills and dike it, wash
spill material into retaining containers. Place containers in a well ventilated area. Consult
an expert on disposal of recovered material and ensure conformity to local disposal
regulations. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering. Contain and
remover liquid when possible. Use non-sparking tools and equipment. Collect liquid in an
appropriate container or absorb with an inert material (e.g., vermiculite, dry sand, earth),
and place in a chemical waste container. Do not use combustible materials, such as
sawdust. Do not flush to sewer! US Regulations (CERCLA) require reporting spills and
releases to soil, water, and air in excess of reportable quantities. The toll free number for
the US Coast Guard National Response Center is (800) 424-8802. If a leak or a spill has
not ignited, use water spray to disperse the vapors, to protect personnel attempting to stop
leak, and to flush away from exposures.

Waste Disposal Methods:
Dispose of diking materials and absorbent in compliance with State, Local, and Federal
regulations. Residual vapors may explode on ignition; do not cut, drill, or weld on or near
the container. Mix with compatible chemical which is less flammable and incinerate.
Whatever cannot be saved for recovery or recycling should be handled as hazardous waste
and sent to a RCRA approved waste facility. Processing, use or contamination of this
product may change the waste management options. State and local disposal regulations
may differ from federal disposal regulations. Dispose of container and unused contents in
accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Precautions to be taken in Handling and Storing:
Ground and bond containers when transferring material. Avoid contact with skin and eyes,
and clothing. Use with adequate ventilation and avoid breathing in vapor. Keep container
closed when not in use. Avoid contact with heat, sparks and flame. Remove all
contaminated clothing, shoes, belts, and other leather goods immediately. Incinerate
leather goods (including shoes). Wash contaminated clothing thoroughly before reuse.
Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Solvents should not be used to
clean skin because of increased penetration potential. Do not pressurize, cut, weld, braze,
solder, drill, grind, or expose empty containers to heat, sparks, or open flames. Material is
extremely light sensitive. Use extreme care and do not expose to natural or UV light, unless
using material for it's intended use. Since the material is very photosensitive any type of
light may initiate the curing process.

Other Precautions and/or Special Hazards:
High temperatures and fire conditions may cause rapid and uncontrolled polymerization
which can result in explosions and the violet rupture of storage vessels or containers.
