over-exposure to some chemicals may result in enhancement of pre-existing
adverse medical conditions and/or allergic reactions and should be kept to the
least possible levels.
The available Exposure Standards for constituents are as follows:
TWA STEL NOTICES
ppm mg/m3 ppm mg/m3
Isobutanol 50 152 - - -
Xylene 80 350 150 655 -
Ethyl Benzene 100 434 125 543 -

TWA (Time Weighted Average): The average airborne concentration of a
particular substance when calculated over a normal eight-hour working day, for
a five-day week.
STEL (Short Term Exposure Limit): The average airborne concentration over a 15
minute period which should not be exceeded at any time during a normal
eight-hour workday.
No Biological limit allocated.

vapours/mists away from workers breathing zone, should be used. The
ventilation system must be suitable for use with flammable liquids. The spray
applications require the use of a spray booth that comply with local
regulations.
If engineering controls are not effective in controlling airborne exposure

choice of appropriate eye/face protection will vary according to individual
circumstances. Eye protection devices should conform with Australian/New
Zealand Standard AS/NZS 1337 - Eye Protectors for Industrial Applications.
Hand Protection Wear laminated film, Viton, nitrile or other suitable gloves conforming to
AS/NZS 2161: Occupational protective gloves.
Note:
When prolonged or frequently repeated contact may occur, a glove with a
protection class of 6 (breakthrough time greater than 480 minutes according to
EN 374) is recommended. When only brief contact is expected, a glove with a
protection class of 2 or higher (breakthrough time greater than 30
minutes according to EN 374) is recommended. The selection of a specific glove
for a particular application and duration of use in a workplace should also
take into account all relevant workplace factors such as, but not limited to:
Other chemicals which may be handled, physical requirements (cut/puncture
protection, dexterity, thermal protection), potential body reactions to
glovematerials, as wellas the instructions/specifications provided by the
glove supplier.
Body Protection Suitable protective workwear, e.g. cotton overalls buttoned at neck and wrist.
Working clothes must not consist of textiles, which show a dangerous melting
behaviour in case of fire. Industrial clothing should conform to the
