Signs and symptoms of exposure
Inhalation Harmful if inhaled. May affect the brain or nervous system causing
dizziness, headache, or nausea. Excessive exposure may cause irritation to
respiratory tract and can lead to central nervous system depression
Skin contact Prolonged or repeated contact may cause skin irritation, drying or rash.
Eye contact Causes eye irritation. Liquid and vapors are irritating and can cause pain,
tearing, reddening, and swelling accompanied by a stinging sensation.
Ingestion Can cause gastrointestinal irritation, can cause mouth, throat, esophagus and
stomach irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
Emergency first aid procedures
Inhalation Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Call
physician immediately.
Skin contact Wash off thoroughly with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing
and launder before re-use. Discard contaminated leather gloves and shoes.
Eye contact Flush with water for 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Ingestion Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately.
Medical conditions generally aggravated by Persons with pre-existing skin disorders should avoid contact with this
exposure product.
Effects of Overexposure Chronic hazards. Reports have associated repeated and prolonged
overexposure to solvents with permanent brain damage and nervous system
damage. Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling the
contents may be harmful or fatal.
VII. PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE
Steps to take if released or spilled Absorb with inert material (i.e. dry sand or earth), and then transfer to
properly labeled chemical waste container.
Waste disposal method Use approved treatment, transporters and disposal sites in accordance with
local, state and federal laws. Do not flush to storm or sanitary sewer.
Precautions for handling and storing Do not expose to heat or store at temperatures above 120癋. Launder
contaminated clothing before reuse. Use as directed. Normal precautions
common to good manufacturing should be followed in storage and handling.
