Emergency Overview

APPEARANCE AND ODOR: Clear liquid; sweet fruity odor.

Flammable chemical. Use water spray or fog to cool materials in or near fire. Fire is difficult to extinguish. Vapors may travel,
and can be ignited by a remote source.

Inhalation of vapors may cause upper respiratory irritation or central nervous system depression - remove affected individuals
to fresh air.

Potential Health Effects
Summary
Exposure to vapors from this product may be irritating to eyes, respiratory passages and mucous membranes. Excessive skin
contact may cause severe irritation and dryness.

HMIS (Hazardous Materials Information System) ratings for Health - Flammability - Physical Hazard: 1 - 3 - 1
Inhalation
Breathing small amounts of this material during normal handling is not likely to cause harmful effects. Breathing large amounts
of this material may be harmful. Irritation of the upper respiratory tract, headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, loss of
coordination, slow breathing, narcosis (drowsiness), unconsciousness, and asphyxiation may occur in extreme exposures.
Skin
Drying of skin, dermatitis, and blistering may occur following prolonged exposures.
Ingestion
This product is not intended to be ingested or eaten under normal conditions of use. Swallowing a large quantity may cause
irritation of the digestive tract (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) and central nervous system depression with weakness, drowsiness
and loss of consciousness.
Eyes
Prolonged contact may cause mild eye irritation. Symptoms include stinging, tearing, and redness.
Primary Routes of Entry (Exposure)
Inhalation, skin, and eye contact.

Medical Conditions Aggravated by Exposure
Pre-existing respiratory and skin disorders; CNS, heart, liver and/or kidney disease.
Section 4 - First Aid Measures
First Aid: Inhalation
Remove to fresh air. If the affected person is having difficulty breathing, administer oxygen or apply artificial respiration and
immediately contact a medical professional.
First Aid: Skin
Wash exposed skin with soap and water. If irritation develops or persists, seek medical attention.
First Aid: Ingestion
Product is not intended to be ingested or eaten. If this product is ingested, severe irritation of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract may
occur, and should be treated symptomatically. Seek medical attention. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by a
physician. Do not make an unconscious person vomit.
First Aid: Eyes
Flush eyes with large amounts of water for 5-15 minutes. If irritation develops, or persists, seek medical attention.
First Aid: Notes to Physician
Ingestion of large quantities of this material may require gastric lavage with 4% sodium bicarbonate. Skin contact may
aggravate an existing dermatitis.
Section 5 - Fire Fighting Measures
Flash Point: -4.4潞C/24潞F Method Used: TCC
Upper Flammable Limit (UFL): 10.7 Lower Flammable Limit (LFL): 2.2
Auto Ignition: Not determined Flammability Classification: Not determined
Rate of Burning: Not determined
General Fire Hazards
Flammable liquid. Material is highly volatile and readily gives off vapors, which may travel along the ground or be moved by
ventilation and be ignited by heat sources (such as pilot lights or other flames, sparks, heaters, smoking, electric motors, or
static discharge) at locations distant from material handling point.
Extinguishing Media
Dry chemical, foam, carbon dioxide. Water may be an ineffective extinguishing medium.
Fire Fighting Equipment/Instructions
Use NIOSH-approved self-contained breathing apparatus operating in the pressure demand mode and full fire fighting
protective clothing. Avoid inhalation of vapors.

NFPA Ratings for Health - Flammability - Reactivity are: 1 - 3 - 0
Section 6 - Accidental Release Measures
Containment Procedures
Remove all sources of ignition. Evacuate and ventilate spill area. Dam spill area with sand, earth, or other suitable absorbent.
Prevent entry of material into sewers, other water sources, or land areas. Wear full protective clothing and respiratory
protection during clean-up as required to maintain exposures below the applicable exposure limit. Shovel absorbed material
into containers in well-ventilated area. Notify authorities as required for large spill or for run-off into surrounding land or water.
Clean-Up Procedures
No additional information available.
Section 7 - Handling and Storage
Handling Procedures
Use protective equipment as described in Section 8 of this material safety data sheet when handling uncontained material.
Use non-sparking tools when opening or closing containers. Keep away from ignition sources, such as heat, sparks, pilot
lights, static electricity, and open flames. Containers exposed to elevated temperatures may develop pressure build-up and
rupture.
Storage Procedures
Material should be kept cool and dry, and protected from moisture. Store in tightly closed containers to prevent contamination.
Eliminate all sources of ignition.
