3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION


Not regarded as health or fire or an environmental hazard under current legislation.


4. FIRST AID MEASURES

General Remove victim immediately from source of exposure. General first aid, rest, warmth
and fresh air. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Ingestion Rinse nose, mouth and throat with water. Try to induce vomiting by having affected
person touch back of the throat with his finger or by giving him syrup of ipecac as
directed on the package. Do not give victim anything to drink if he is unconscious. Get
medical attention.
Skin Wash skin with soap and water.

Eyes Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eye lids. Get medical attention
if any discomfort continues.


5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES


Extinguishing media Fire can be extinguished using: Water spray, fog or mist. Foam. Carbon dioxide (CO2).
Dry chemicals, sand, dolomite etc.
Special fire fighting procedures Move container from fire area if it can be done without risk. Cool containers exposed to
flames with water until well after the fire is out.
Specific hazards The dust cloud is considered sensitive with respect to ignition, and adequate
precautions must be taken during handling.

Protective measures in fire Wear self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) to prevent contact with thermal
decomposition products.


6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal precaution in spill Wear appropriate personal protective equipment - see Section 8.

Spill cleanup methods Runoff or release to sewer, waterway or ground is forbidden. Flush the area with water.
Do not let washing down water contaminate ponds or waterways. Collect and reclaim or
dispose in sealed containers in licensed waste. Inform Authorities if large amounts are
involved.

Usage precautions Avoid handling which leads to dust formation.

Storage precautions Keep in cool, dry, ventilated storage and closed containers.

Protective equipment




Process conditions Use engineering controls to reduce air contamination to permissible exposure level.
The concentrations of air pollutants shall be kept as far under the given exposure
standards as possible. Unnecessary influence of pollutants shall be avoided and the
conditions shall be proper. Provide eyewash station.
Ventilation Well ventilated area.

Respirators If ventilation is insufficient, suitable respiratory protection must be provided. Dust filter
P2 (for fine dust).
Protective gloves Use protective gloves made of: Rubber or plastic.

Eye protection Use tight fitting goggles if dust is generated.
