before reuse. If symptoms persist or develop, seek medical attention.
INGESTION: Vomiting will cause further damage to the throat, do not induce vomiting. Give the individual several glasses of water
or milk. If vomiting does occur, have the individual lean forward with head down to avoid breathing in vomit, rinse mouth and
administer more water. IMMEDIATELY contact the local poison control center. IMMEDIATELY get the individual to the nearest
Emergency facility. DO NOT give anything by mouth if the individual is losing consciousness, or is unconscious or convulsing.
INHALATION: If symptoms develop, immediately move individual away from the exposure and into fresh air. SEEK IMMEDIATE
MEDICAL ATTENTION; keep individual warm, if person is not breathing, begin artificial respiration. If individual is having difficulty
breathing, Administer oxygen (if available).
SECTION 5: FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
FLASH POINT: None
METHOD USED: None
AUTOIGNITION TEMPERATURE: Not applicable
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Nonflammable/Noncombustible. Use agents appropriate for surrounding fire.
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Self-contained breathing apparatus (NIOSH/MSHA Pressure-demand) should be provided
for fire fighters in confined spaces or buildings where this product is stored.
UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Due to high buildup of pressure and weakening of the container structure when
exposed to extreme heat, containers may rupture. The product will give off toxic corrosive fumes of HCI at high temperatures. Will
react with most metals to produce hydrogen gas which can form explosive mixtures in air.
SECTION 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES: Only qualified personnel who have read the product bulletins and this MSDS should conduct
the following procedures. Persons not wearing protective equipment should be excluded from the area. Cordon off area if
necessary to prevent unauthorized traffic or entry. Approach the spill from upwind. Stop or control leak, promptly dike to prevent
spreading and stop the spill at the source. Control the runoff and isolate discharged material for proper disposal (place in labeled
waste container for neutralization and disposal). If unable to prevent release to soil or waters of the state, immediate notice to local
regulatory authorities is required.
SECTION 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE
HANDLING AND STORAGE: Follow personal protection procedures (Section 8) when handling the product. Product must be
stored upright in a cool, dry, well ventilated area, in tightly closed containers away from combustible materials and sources of heat.
Metal containers or equipment should not be used. Isolate from other chemicals and materials to avoid chemical incompatibility.
Labels must not be removed from containers. Protect from physical damage. Re-seal partially used containers. Wash with soap
and water before eating, drinking, smoking, or using toilet facilities. Observer conditions of good industrial hygiene and safe
working practices.
OTHER PRECAUTIONS: Addition to water release heat which can result in violent foaming and spattering. Always add slowly and
in small amounts. Always add acids to water, never add water to acids. Empty containers of this material may be hazardous
Since emptied containers retain product residues (vapors, liquids, and/or Solids), all hazard precautions given in the data sheet
must be observed. Check you local codes for disposal of empty containers.
SECTION 8: EXPOSURE CONTROL/PERSONAL PROTECTION
VENTILATION/ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Provide adequate ventilation and sufficient local exhaust as necessary to maintain
