anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek medical attention.
Eye: Flush eyes with water for 15 minutes, including under eyelids. If irritation continues, seek
medical attention.
Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and wash contact area with soap and water for 15 minutes.
Inhalation: In case of exposure to a high concentration of vapor or mist, remove person to fresh air. If
breathing has stopped, administer artificial respiration and seek medical attention.
SECTION 5 FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
METHOD:.
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical
FIRE FIGHTING INSTRUCTION; Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective gear. Water may be
ineffective unless used as a fine spray or fog. Use water spray to cool the exposed
containers of methacrylate monomer.
Vapors may travel to source of ignition and flash back. Avoid ignition sources or
UNUSUAL HAZARDS:
excessive temperatures. Heat can induce polymerization with rapid release of energy.
Closed containers may rupture explosively. Spontaneous polymerization may occur with
prolonged aging.

SECTION 6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES Evacuate area and eliminate all possible sources of ignition. Use self contained
SPILL OR RELEASE PROCEDURES breathing apparatus and protective clothing. Dike and absorb liquid with inert materials
(sand, soda, ash, vermiculite etc) and then transfer to proper containers for disposal,
using non-sparking tools. Keep spill out of sewers and open bodies of water, Remove
saturated clothing and wash affected skin areas with soap and water.
SECTION 7 HANDLING AND STORAGE
Keep away from heat. Sparks and other sources of ignition. Avoid contact with eyes,
PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING
skin and clothing. Avoid breathing in vapors or mist. Use with adequate ventilation.
Ground all metal containers when transferring and use explosion-proof equipment.
Follow all MSDS/label precautions even after container is emptied because if may retain
product residues. Wash thoroughly after handling
Store in a cool, dry area. Keep container closed when not in use. Store at ambient
CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE
temperatures out of direct sunlight. Sore in a well ventilated place. Store in accordance
to National Fire Protection Association recommendations. Maintain air space inside
storage containers. Inhibitor requires air (oxygen) contact to function. Check inhibitor
levels after 3 months and return to original level.
EXPLOSION HAZARD Avoid ignition sources or excessive temperatures. Heat can induce polymerization 3with
rapid release energy. Closed containers may rupture explosively. Spontaneous
polymerization may occur with prolonged aging
SECTION 8 EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Use process enclosure, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to control

airborne levels below recommended exposure limits. Use explosion-proof ventilation
equipment.
To identify additional personal protective equipment requirements, it is recommended that a
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE
hazard assessment in accordance with the OSHA PPE standards (29CFR1910.132) be
EQUIPMENT
conducted before using this product. Provided eye wash stations and safety showers. Wear
impervious clothing and prevent any contact with this product, such as gloves, apron, boots
and or whole body suit. Nitride rubber is better than PVC.
Use self-contained breathing apparatus when needed. Use a positive pressure air supplied
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION
respirator if this is any potential for an uncontrolled release, exposure levels are not known, or
any other circumstances where air purifying respirator may not provide adequate protection.
Use safety goggles and vapor dust mask.
EYE/FACE PROTECTION
Wear nitrite, neoprene, pvc, latex or other impermeable gloves is recommended
