diluted significantly with water before product use. The severity of these
health hazards may be reduced further at usage concentrations.
(Acute and Chronic Overexposure)

Eyes - Blindness. Burns. Severe irritation. Redness. Stinging. Swelling. Tearing.

Skin - Burning sensation. Burns. Severe irritation. Redness. Swelling.
Prolonged and repeated contact can defat the skin which may result in dryness,
dermatitis, and cracking of the skin.

Inhalation - Damage to nasal and respiratory passages. Damage to throat and
esophagus. Irritation of the respiratory tract.

Ingestion - Burns to mouth, throat, and digestive tract. Severe irritation.
Large quantities may cause blindness. Moderately toxic. Pulmonary edema.
Swallowing this material may be harmful or fatal.
Symptoms may include severe stomach and intestinal irritation (nausea, vomiting,
diarrhea), abdominal pain, and vomting of blood. Swallowing potassium hydroxide
may cause burns and destroy tissue in the mouth, throat, and digestive tract.
Low blood pressure and shock may occur as a result of severe tissue injury.
Pulmonary aspiration hazard if swallowed and vomiting occurs.

Signs And Symptoms of Exposure -
Signs and symptoms of exposure to potassium hydroxide through breathing,
swallowing, andor passage through the skin may include: cough, lung edema(fluid
buildup in the lung tissue).

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated By Exposure - Pre-existing skin
disorders may be aggravated by exposure.
Overexposure to this material ( or its components) has been suggested as a cause
of the following effects in laboratory animals, and may aggravate pre-existing
disorders of these organs in humans: kidney damage, liver damage.

Emergency and First Aid Procedures: Inhalation - remove to fresh air. Skin
contact - wash using a mild soap. Eye contact - flush with water, see
a physician. Ingestion - call a physician.

Steps to be Taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled:
Dike area. Recover free product. Add a dry absorbent material to spill
area.
Waste Disposal Method: Dispose by methods consistent with local state and
federal regulations.
Precautions to be Taken in Handling and Storing: Keep containers tightly
closed. Use and store this product with adequate ventilation. Avoid
inhalation of vapors and personal contact with the product. To
dissipate static electricity during transfer, ground and/or bond both
containers. Since emptied containers retain product residue, follow
warnings even after container is emptied. Residue or vapors may
explode on ignition; do not cut, drill, grind or weld on or near
container even when empty.
