Fire/Explosion Hazard
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Fire can be extinguished using water spray, fog or mist; foam; carbon dioxide; or dry
powder.

SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and full protective clothing
required for fire-fighting personnel. If possible to do so safely, shut off fuel to fire. Avoid breathing fire vapours. Cool
containers exposed to flames with water until well after the fire is out. Keep run-off water out of sewers and water
sources. Dike for water control.

UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Flammable liquid. By heating and fire, irritating vapours or gases
may be formed. Vapours from this product may travel considerable distance to source of ignition and flash back.

HAZCHEM CODE: 3[Y] [Aust]

FLAMMABILITY
Flammable liquid. Avoid all sources of ignition, heat and naked flames.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS:
Warn everybody of potential hazards and evacuate if necessary. Remove sources of ignition. Avoid inhalation of spray
mist and avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear protective clothing as described in Section 8 of this safety data sheet.
Provide adequate ventilation.

ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS:
Do not discharge into drains, watercourses, or onto the ground. Spillages or uncontrolled discharges into watercourses
must be immediately alerted to the local water company or Environmental Agency.

SPILL CLEAN-UP METHODS:
Absorb with non-combustible absorbent material. Transfer to a container for disposal. Containers with collected
spillage must be properly labelled with correct contents and hazard symbol.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
USAGE PRECAUTIONS:
Provide adequate ventilation, including appropriate local extraction, to ensure that the defined occupational exposure
limit is not exceeded. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Storage tanks and other containers must
be grounded. Do not smoke, use naked flames or other sources of ignition. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using the
product. Observe good industrial hygiene practices.

STORAGE PRECAUTIONS:
Store in tightly closed original containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Keep away from heat, sparks and open
flame.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Exposure Standards
No exposure standards are available for this product, however, the following exposure standards have been assigned by
[NOHSC] to the following components of the product:

? N-BUTYL ACETATE
(Worksafe Australia)
[TWA] 150 ppm 713 mg/m?br> [STEL] 200 ppm 950 mg/m?br> References: H

(ACGIH)
[TWA] 150 ppm 713 mg/m?br> [STEL] 200 ppm 950 mg/m?br> Carcinogen Category: A4

? 1-METHOXY-2-PROPANOL ACETATE (Below Cut-off)
(Worksafe Australia)
[TWA] 50 ppm 274 mg/m?br> [STEL] 100 ppm 548 mg/m?br> Notices: Sk

(ACGIH)
[TWA] 100 ppm

Engineering Controls
Flammable liquid. Maintain adequate general and local exhaust ventilation at all times. Prevent accumulation of
vapours in hollows or sumps. Eliminate any sources of ignition. Elevated temperature or mechanical action may form
vapours, mists or fumes, which may require local exhaust ventilation systems. If ventilation is insufficient, wear
approved respiratory protection.

Personal Protection Equipment
CLOTHING: Wear suitable protective clothing to prevent skin contact.
GLOVES: Wear protective gloves to prevent skin contact - rubber or plastic.
EYES: Wear safety glasses with side shields, chemical goggles or face shield to protect eyes.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Avoid breathing of vapours/gases. Select and use respirators in accordance with
AS/NZS 1715/1716. When gases exceed the exposure standards then the use of a half-face respirator with organic
vapour cartridge is recommended. For high concentrations use an atmosphere-supplied, positive pressure demand self-
contained or airline breathing apparatus, complying with the requirements of AS/NZS 1715 is recommended. Filter
capacity and respirator type depends on exposure levels and type of contaminant. If entering spaces where the airborne
concentration of a contaminant is unknown then the use of a Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with positive
pressure air supply complying with AS/NZS 1715 / 1716, or any other acceptable International Standard is
recommended.
