III. HEALTH HAZARD SUMMARY
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE:
This product contains 15-16% mixed phthalate esters. They have low toxicity. AOGIH and OSHA
have not established specific exposure limits for these plasticizers, but chemically-similar plasticizers
have OSHA/AOGIH exposure limits of 5 mg/m3, 8 hour time weighted average.
Subjecting the material to temperature above 250癋 may liberate modest quantities of plasticizer
( ~ 2%). At temperatures above 400癋, the product may decompose to HCI, CO2, and other gases.
PRIMARY ROUTES OF EXPOSURE: EXPOSURE LIMITS: TLV
Inhalation of Processing Vapors
TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
?PLASTICIZER PORTION ONLY ?br>
Upon exposure, these plasticizers represent a low hazard in the areas of inhalation, eyes, skin, and
