Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Containers should be cooled with water to prevent vapor pressure build up.

HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION: EYES: May cause severe irritation. Can cause burning sensation, tearing, and
redness.
SKIN: May cause mild irritation. INHALATION: Prolonged exposure can be irritating to eyes, nose and respiratory tract.
INHALATION: Asphyxiant. Symptoms are dependent on rapidity of oxygen deficiency development and duration.
Unconsciousness is immediate in sudden acute asphyxia. Slow development may cause rapid breathing, dizziness,
incoordination, fatigue, and progress to nausea, vomiting, and possibly death. Can be harmful or fatal at high
concentrations. INGESTION: Not hazardous in normal industrial use.
AGGRAVATED MEDICAL CONDITIONS: May aggravate pre-existing heart and Central Nervous System
conditions.
CHRONIC EFFECTS/TARGET ORGANS: None known.
EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES: EYES: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. Get immediate medical attention. SKIN: Wash with soap and plenty of water. INHALATION: Remove to fresh

air. If symptoms develop, seek immediate medical attention. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. INGESTION:
Get immediate medical attention. Do NOT induce vomiting unless directed by medical personnel. Rinse mouth with
water and give another cupful to drink. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
CARCINOGENICITY:
No regulated ingredients.
TOXICITY INFORMATION:
1,1-Dichloro-1-fluoroethane:
Inhalation may cause an increase in the sensitivity of the heart to adrenaline, which could result in irregular or
rapid heartbeats.
LD50 Oral (Rat): >5000 mg/kg
LD50 Dermal (Rabbit): >2000 mg/kg
LC50 Inhalation (Rat): 61,647-ppm/4 hr.

SECTION VII - PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE
Releases or Spills: Remove all sources of ignition and ventilate area. Soak up spill with an inert absorbent and
place into a designated disposal container. Consult local regulatory agency for proper disposition of material.
Waste Disposal Method: Do not puncture or incinerate containers. When contents are depleted continue to
depress button until all gas is expelled. Dispose of container in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Handling And Storing: Avoid breathing vapor. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Use with adequate
ventilation. Do not puncture or incinerate containers. Do not expose to direct sunlight or store at temperatures
above 120F (48.9C). Store as Level 1 Aerosol (NFPA 30B).
Other Precautions: Please read and follow the directions on the product label; they are your best guide to using
this product in the most effective way, and give the necessary safety precautions to protect your health.

SECTION VIII - EMPLOYEE PROTECTION
Respiratory Protection (Type): None required if good ventilation is maintained. If exposure exceeds occupational
exposure limits (Sec. II), use a NIOSH approved respirator to prevent overexposure.
Ventilation: General ventilation is adequate under normal conditions; mechanical ventilation is optional.
Protective Gloves: Chemical resistant gloves are recommended - consult glove manufacturer to determine the
proper type for a specific operation.
Eye Protection: Safety glasses are recommended.
Other Protective Clothing or Equipment: Wear impervious clothing to prevent skin contact.
Work/Hygienic Practices: Ensure strict sanitary conditions are conformed to when working around chemicals.
Protective clothing and equipment should be in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.132 and CFR 1910.133.
