Toxicology There is no specific toxicity information available for this product.
Figures reported for DIETHYLENE GLYCOL are:
Oral LD50 (Rat): 12,565 mg/kg
Reported Human Lethal Dose: 1,000 mg/kg
Dermal LD50 (Rabbit): 11,890 mg/kg
Ref. Registry of Toxic Effects of Chemical Substances 1993. US
Dept. of Health and Human Services. April 1993.
High concentrations of titanium dioxide dust caused microscopic
lung tumors in rats in lifetime inhalation studies. However, Dupont,
the primary US manufacturer, based on a review of the test data
and based on an epidemiological study of employees, concluded
that titanium dioxide pigment will not cause chronic respiratory
disease in humans at concentrations experienced in the workplace.
Because this product is a free-flowing liquid or paste, dust
inhalation is not an expected route of exposure.
