Section 3. Hazards Identification
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Combustible. Hazardous polymerization may occur. Irritant by inhalation, in contact with
Skin and eyes. May cause sensitization by skin contact.
POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS:
EYE CONTACT: Moderate irritant, causing moderate initial pain.
INHALATION :Irritant to the respiratory tract. High concentrations may lead to
dizziness, headache and anesthetic effects.
SKIN CONTACT: May cause skin irritation and sensitization.
INGESTION: Causes irritation, a burning sensation of the mouth, throat and respiratory
Tract. Causes abdominal pain.
CHRONIC EFFECTS / CARCINOGENICITY: None known. Unlikely to present carcinogenic hazard.
TERATOLOGY (BIRTH DEFECT) INFORMATION: Some evidence of potential developmental toxicity
but inadequate information is available to assess the teratogenic hazard. No adverse
effects expected.
REPRODUCTION INFORMATION: No information available but no adverse effects expected.

Product: Formula I Liquid
Section 4. First Aid Measures
INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. Administer oxygen or artificial respiration as needed.
If difficulties persist, or occurs later, contact a physician.
EYE CONTACT: Flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Contact a physician.
SKIN CONTACT: Wash with soap and water. If irritation occurs, contact a physician.
INGESTION: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Immediately give two glasses of water, or activated
charcoal slurry. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek medical
attention immediately.
Section 5. Fire Fighting Measures
FLAMMABLE PROPERTIES:
FLASH POINT: 13c, 55f METHOD USED: TCC
FLAMMABLE LIMITS
LFL: 1-3.3 UFL: 7.4-19
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Dry Chemical, CO2, Foam, Water Fog
FIRE & EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Fine mist or sprays may be flammable at temperatures below
the flash point. Sealed containers exposed to elevated temperatures may rupture
explosively due to polymerization. Vapors are heavier than air and may travel to
ignition source.
FIRE FIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS: Full protective equipment, including self-contained
breathing apparatus is recommended. Water from fog nozzles may be used to prevent
pressure build-up. Fight fires from a safe distance or protected areas.
Section 6. Accidental Release Measures
SAFEGAURDS (PERSONNEL): NOTE: Review FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES and HANDLING (PERSONNEL)
sections before proceeding with clean up. Use appropriate PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
during clean up.
SPILL CLEAN UP: Cleaned up material is a RCRA Hazardous Waste. Soak up with sand, oil
dry,
Or other absorbent non-combustible material.
ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES: Evacuate area. Ventilate area. Remove source of ignition.
Prevent skin contact and breathing of vapor. Confine and remove with inert absorbent.
Section 7. Handling and Storage
HANDLING (PERSONNEL): Dot not breathe vapors or mists. Observe label precautions. Wash
thoroughly after handling and before eating or smoking.
STORAGE: Keep away from heat, sparks, flame, and direct sunlight. Close
container after each use. Observe label precautions. Permit air space to exist inside
storage containers. Material stored more than three (3) months should have inhibitor
level checked and maintained at original level.
Section 8. Exposure Controls / Personal Protection
ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Provide sufficient ventilation in volume and pattern to keep
contaminants below applicable OSHA requirements and other exposure limits. Keep away
from heat, sparks, flame, direct sunlight. Close container after use. Ground containers
when pouring.

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Use NIOSH/MSHA respirator. Use a positive pressure air supplied
respirator where there is potential for uncontrolled release or exposure levels are
unknown.
SKIN PROTECTION: Wear impervious clothing to prevent ANY contact with this product.
Gloves, apron boots or whole body suit.
EYE PROTECTION: Safety glasses. Coverall chemical splash goggles or face shield are
Recommended.

Section 10. Stability and Reactivity
CHEMICAL STABILITY: Stable
INCOMPATIBILITY: Incompatible with reducing and oxidizing agents. Material has strong
solvent properties and can soften paint or rubber.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: CO, CO2, smoke.
HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: Polymerization can occur.
Section 11. Toxicological Information
EYE: Irritating to eyes.
SKIN: May cause sensitization by skin contact. Irritating to skin. Repeated and/or
prolonged contact may cause dermatitis.
INGESTION: Low oral toxicity but ingestion may cause irritation of the gastrointestinal
tract.
INHALATION: Irritating to respiratory system. High concentrations may lead to irritation
of the respiratory tract, dizziness, headache, and anesthetic effects.
CHRONIC: This material has been used for many years with no evidence of adverse effects.
CARCINOGENICITY: Inadequate information available to assess carcinogenic hazard.
TETRATOGENIC: Some evidence of potential for developmental toxicity but inadequate
information is available to assess the teratogenic hazard. By analogy it is unlikely
that isobutyl Methacrylate represents a teratogenic hazard to man.

Section 12. Ecological Information
ENVIRONMENTAL FATE AND DISTRIBUTION: High tonnage material produced in wholly con-
tained systems. Liquid with moderate volatility. Sparingly soluble in water. Moderate
potential for bioaccumulation. Predicted to have moderate mobility in soil.
PERSISTENCE AND DEGRADATION: Readily biodegradable. 74% in 28 days.
TOXICITY: Very toxic to aquatic organisms.
EFFECT on EFFLUENT TREATMENT: This product is substantially removed in biological
treatment processes.
Section 13. Disposal Considerations
Do not allow material to contaminate ground water systems. Incinerate in a facility
which complies with Federal, State, and Local requirements. Do not incinerate in closed
containers.
