EXTINGUISHING MEDIA

Carbon Dioxide, dry chemical, foam alcohol-resistant foam.

UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS

Closed containers may rupture when exposed to extreme heat (due to pressure buildup)

SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES

Remove all ignition sources. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and complete personal
protective equipment when entering confined areas where potential for exposure to vapors or
products of combustion exists. Contain water runoff for later disposal.

SECTION V - Reactivity Data

Stability: Stable
Conditions to Avoid: Not applicable
Hazardous Polymerization: Will not occur
Materials to Avoid: Containment with strong acids, bases, amines, and mercaptans can
cause polymerization.

Hazardous Decomposition Fumes produced when heated to decomposition may include:
Products: Carbon monoxide, phenolics, hydrogen chloride and water.

SECTION VI - Health Hazard Data

Ingestion: Single dose oral toxicity is low. Larger amounts may result in injury.
Inhalation: Heating can generate vapors that could cause headaches, nausea,
dizziness, and respiratory irritation if inhaled.
Skin Absorption: May cause moderate skin injury (reddening & swelling) sensitizer-
may cause allergic skin reaction which can be severe in some
individuals. Repeated exposure may cause skin burns.
Chronic: Epichlorohydrin has been reported to produce cancer in lab
animals and epidemiological studies present "weak" evidence of
cancer risk to humans. Epichlorohydrin is listed in the IARC
monographs and by NTP.

SECTION VII - Precautions For Safe Handling and Use

SPILLAGE OR RELEASE:

EP-75 Part A MSDS

If material is spilled: If material is spilled: dike spill. Absorb with inert material and collect for
disposal. Flush with water. Prevent washings from entering waterways.

WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD:

Send to a licensed recycler, reclaimer, or incinerator for evaluation and disposal. Always be in
accordance with federal, state and local regulations.

SECTION VIII - Special Protection Information

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION

Wear a properly fitted NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator whenever exposure to vapor/mist is
likely unless levels are below applicable limits.

VENTILATION

Local exhaust-recommmended, when appropriate, to control employee exposure. Mechanical ?br> not recommended as the sole means of controlling employee exposure.

PROTECTIVE GLOVES

Impermeable Neoprene rubber gloves.

EYE PROTECTION

Chemical splash-proof goggles

OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

For operations where contact can occur, coveralls, apron, and rubber foot coverings are
recommended. A safety shower and eyewash should be available.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

1. Prevent all skin and eye contact. Wear protective clothing/gloves.
2. Avoid breathing vapors.
3. Keep containers closed when not in use. Re-seal partly used containers.
4. Ensure that all containers are properly labeled.
5. Wash with soap and water before eating, drinking, smoking, or using toilet facilities.
6. Remove all contaminated clothing, shoes, belts, and other leather goods immediately.
Incinerate leather goods. Wash contaminated clothing thoroughly before reuse.
7. Solvents should not be used to clean skin because of increased penetration potentials.
8. Observe conditions of good industrial hygiene and safe working practices.
