Polyethylene (translucent, colorless pellets)
A hazard warning is not required for polyethylene under OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR
1910 - 1200).

Fire Fighting Procedures: Use dry chemical, water spray/water fog, foam or carbon dioxide or sand/earth. If possible,
apply water spray from fogging nozzle and avoid high velocity water streams. Firefighters should wear self-contained
breathing apparatus in the positive pressure mode with a full face piece when exposure to smoke and fumes is
possible.

Hazardous polymerization will not occur.

Decomposition products are water and carbon dioxide.

VI. SPILL, LEAK, AND DISPOSAL PROCEDURES

PROCEDURE FOR CLEAN UP
Ordinary housekeeping procedures are adequate. Clean by vacuum or broom sweeping and remove to disposal
container. Material can be landfilled. In case of spillage, sweep up and dispose of in accordance with federal, state,
and local regulations.

According to federal hazardous waste regulations, 40 CFR 261.33, these materials are not listed as hazardous
wastes.

VII. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

HANDLING & STORAGE
Keep containers sealed until ready for use.
Store in cool, dry area. Keep temperature below 150掳F.
Not D.O.T. regulated.
Empty containers may contain residues and are subject to proper waste disposal, as above.
