SECTION 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
The ingredient is intended to be used alone or in mixes of food complements. As it is a dry powder,
NeOpuntia should not be eaten as is. It is advised to use it into tablets or capsules or in suspension in
water (3g max / 250 ml) or mixed in food.
SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES
Inhalation: Remove victim from exposure 鈥?. Keep at rest until fully recovered. Seek medical
advice if effects persist.
Skin Contact: Wash contaminated skin with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and
wash before re-use. If irritation occurs seek medical advice.
Eye Contact: Irrigate with copious quantities of water for 15 minutes. In all cases of eye
contamination it is a sensible precaution to seek medical advice.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Give plenty of water to drink.
SECTION 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Suitable fire extinguishing media : Water fog ( or if unavailable fine water spray ) foam.

SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Individual precautions: Wear protective equipment to prevent eyes contamination & inhalation of
dust.
Environmental precautions: Collect and seal in properly labelled drums for disposal
Cleaning methods: Wash area down with water.
SECTION 7 - HANDLING AND STORAGE
Provide for good ventilation of the room, when handling this preparation. Store container in a dry and
cool place.
Handling: Handle powder in a room with good ventilation. The product should be handled far from
any flame or materials likely to create electric arcs. Avoid formation of dust and aerosol.
Storage: Store in a dry and cool place and out of direct sunlight. Store away from oxidising agents.
Keep containers closed at all the times 鈥? check regularly for spills.
SECTION 8 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS, PERSONAL PROTECTION
Personal protection is necessary in circumstances where there is accidental or uncontained release of
product.
Respiratory Protection: Respirator approved for solid and liquid particulates including dusts and
mists e.g. 3M 8810 mask or respirator with P3 filter or equivalents. NIOSHA/OSHA approved device
for dusts, if potential to inhale dusts may occur.
Skin/Hand Protection: Rubber (Impermeable) gloves.
Eye protection: Protective glasses; Safety goggles.
Ventilation: Good local ventilation.
