Potential Health Effects

Primary Routes of Entry: Inhalation, Dermal contact

Target Organs: Respiratory system, skin, eyes.

Inhalation: Acute exposure may result in dizziness, dyspnea, fatigue, nausea and/or headache, or
general irritation of the nose, throat, and upper respiratory tract. Mists or vapors from hot operations can
cause mental sluggishness, pulmonary edema (accumulation of fluid in the lungs- signs and symptoms
can be delayed for several hours) and bronchial pneumonia. Chronic exposures may result in lung
disease (silicosis and/or lung cancer). (See Section 11 - Toxicological Information)

Skin Contact: Continued and prolonged contact may result in irritation to the skin. Continued chronic
exposure may result in dermatitis.

Eye Contact: Trace amounts of amine and residual monomer vapors may be irritating to the eyes,
especially in poorly ventilated areas. Irritation may be in the form of redness, tearing and/or blurred vision.

Ingestion: Can cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Aspiration of material into
lungs can cause chemical pneumonitis, which can be fatal.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Flammable Properties
鈥? Not flammable or combustible
鈥? NFPA Hazard Class No: 1/0/0

Extinguishing media
鈥? Class B extinguisher. Use foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical fire fighting apparatus. Water may be
unsuitable as an extinguishing media, but helpful in keeping adjacent containers cool. Avoid
spreading burning liquid with water used for cooling.

Protection of firefighters
鈥? Standard protective equipment and precautions

Fire and Explosion Hazards
鈥? Never use a welding or cutting torch on or near containers (even empty) because residue may ignite.

Hazardous Combustion Products
鈥? None known

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

No special precautions required.

General recommendations:

鈥? Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment. (See Section 8)

鈥? Recover free product. Add sand, earth or other suitable absorbent to spill area.

鈥? Avoid washing material down drains.

鈥? Waste material is not a hazardous waste. Dispose of in accordance with applicable federal, state,
and local regulations.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

鈥? Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.

鈥? Wear recommended personal protective equipment when handling. (See Section 8)

鈥? Store material in a cool, dry, ventilated area. Do not store outside or in direct sunlight.

鈥? Keep from freezing to preserve usefulness.

鈥? Keep containers closed when not in use.

below the PEL/TLV.

Personal Protective Equipment

鈥? Respiratory Protection: A NIOSH approved particulate respirator is recommended in poorly ventilated
areas or if the PEL/TLV is exceeded. The use of additional respiratory protection depends on vapor
concentration above the time weighted TLV. OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.134 (Respiratory Protection
Standard) must be followed whenever work conditions require respirator use.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Human Data
There is no information on toxicokinetics, metabolism and distribution.

This product contains quartz (crystalline silica) as a naturally occurring contaminant. Chronic exposure to
crystalline silica in the respirable size has been shown to cause silicosis, a debilitating lung disease. In
addition, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classifies crystalline silica inhaled in
the form of quartz or cristobalite from occupational sources as carcinogenic to humans, Group 1. The
National Toxicology Program (NTP) classifies respirable crystalline silica as a substance, which may be
reasonably anticipated to be a carcinogen. OSHA does not regulate crystalline silica as a human
carcinogen.

Animal Data
Ethylene glycol: Oral rat LD50: 4700 mg/kg; Skin rabbit LD50: 9530 mg/kg
Irritation: Skin rabbit, 555 mg(open), mild; eye rabbit: 500 mg/24H, mild.
Has shown teratogenic effects in laboratory animals.

LD50, LC50: Not available for product.
