Product Description:



         LiforCell® is for RESEARCH USE ONLY.



          Lifor® is a tissue transport and preservation solution originally developed as an organ

preservation solution by Lifeblood Medical, Inc. This first generation solution, Lifor®, lead to

development of LiforCell®. This second generation solution was developed and tested as a replacement

and/or extender for Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Testing demonstrated that LiforCell® with proper

titration of the cells can be used as an FBS replacement and/or extender.





        LiforCell® has shown in preliminary testing on mouse ES stem cell to be an alternative to Fetal

Bovine Serum (FBS).





          LiforCell® contains inorganic salts, amino acids, vitamins, adenosine, Cholesterol, Glucose, yeast

extract, and very few proteins.





LiforCell® has the capability to carry oxygen due to a unique, proprietary protein complex and therefore

has the ability to protect genetic contents and help cells to thrive.





         LiforCell® is serum and animal protein free.



Storage and Stability:

        Store LiforCell® at 4 to 8 C (refrigeration) away from light. At this storage temperature the

product will be stable for 12 months.







Applications:

         LiforCell® can be used as a medium for growing cells from tumors and cultivating cells under

serum free conditions.



         LiforCell® can also be used as an alternative to Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

USAGE:

         LiforCell® can also be used as an alternative to Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). The usage of

LiforCell® is the same as FBS. For example: If a 10% solution of FBS is used, replace the FBS with the

same percentage of LiforCell®. It is important to note that use of a FBS reduction process is required.

Lifeblood Medical, Inc. does not recommend replacing FBS with LiforCell all at one time. Please follow

the process listed below:



When you receive your 100ml sample please use a reduction process to see if your cells can be grown

without the presence of FBS. In most cases LiforCell® can be used as the only supplement.

Please use the following example to work with the LiforCell® and FBS combination:



    If 15% FBS is in use now then the first sample test will use 10% FBS and 5% LiforCell® in

    combination.



    Then reduce in sample number two to 5% FBS and 10% LiforCell® in combination.



    Then the final sample will be 15% LiforCell® and no FBS.



The test should show that LiforCell® with your cell will probably require no FBS or less than 5% FBS. To

reduce to less than 5% FBS testing should be done at a reduction of 1% FBS and addition of 1% LiforCell

until the desired outcome is achieved.

          Quality Assurance: LiforCell® undergoes quality assurance testing to ensure that each solution

is consistent from lot to lot.



         Safety: LiforCell® is a new proprietary solution in which properties such as chemical, physical,

and toxicological testing have not been fully completed. See the attached MSDS for more information.

DESCRIPTION:



40003-4-5 is a mixture of components that includes: inorganic salts, vitamins, amino

acids, carbohydrates, fatty acids, dextrans and antioxidants. This medium is used for the

experimental in-vitro culture of cells.

Spill: Mop up and dispose of in sink followed by copious amounts of water.

Waste Disposal: Dispose of in laboratory sink with copious amounts of water. Follow all
