Baselstrasse 55
CH-4124 Sch枚nenbuch, Switzerland
Email: info@buhlmannlabs.ch
Emergency phone No: +41 (0)61 487 1212 Fax No: +41 (0)61 487 1234

2. Composition and Hazardous Ingredients
Kit Components: B-ACD-TR, B-ACD-CA, B-ACD-0CA, B-ACD-CONSET, B-ACD-HA, B-ACD-SCP

Hazardous Ingredient Kit Component Concentration
3
< 188 kBq (< 5.1 碌Ci) per vial
H (tritium) B-ACD-TR
Human serum B-ACD-CA, B-ACD-0CA, B-ACD-CONSET n/a
Hydrochloric acid B-ACD-HA 1N
2,5-Diphenyloxazole (PPO) B-ACD-SCP 97 - 99%

3. Hazard Identification
Human Serum (or its components) used for the production of the components was tested and found negative for HBsAg, HCV and
HIV I/II. However no known test method can offer assurance that these products will not be infectious.
3
H (tritium) is a radioactive tracer element, emits gamma rays, half life: 12.4 years.
Hydrochloric acid might cause irritations after skin or eye contact.
PPO might cause irritation after eye contact.

4. Emergency and First Aid Measures
It is not expected to give rise to an acute hazard under normal conditions of use.

Eye contact: Flush eyes with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes.
Ingestion: Flush mouth with large amounts of water, make sure not to swallow rinse.
Skin: Wash well with soap and large amounts of water. If skin is injured or material gets into open wound.
If warranted, seek medical attention. If possible, save a sample of material that caused reaction for use in determination of
appropriate treatment.

5. Fire and Explosion Hazard Data
The components are non-flammable. Use extinguishing media appropriate to surrounding fire.

6. Accidental Release Measures
Absorb spills of reagent and patient samples with absorbent paper, taking care not to spread the material. Clean spill area with a
potent disinfectant. Discard all materials used to absorb spill and disinfect area into radioactive/biohazard waste collection.

7. Handling and storage
Storage
Store all reagents as dedicated in the relevant instruction for use.

Avoid direct contact by using protective articles such as lab coats and disposable gloves
All radiological work must be done in a designated and separated area.

8. Exposure control/personal protection
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when working with reagents or patient samples, including lab coats, disposable
gloves and eye protection. Avoid hand/mouth contact. Wash hands as immediately after handling reagents or patient specimens.
