HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION
HEALTH EFFECTS
No adverse health effects expected if the product is handled in accordance with this Safety Data Sheet and
the product label. Symptoms that may arise if the product is mishandled are:
ACUTE EFFECTS
SWALLOWED: Swallowing may result in diarrhoea and abdominal pain.
EYE: Exposure to the dust may cause discomfort and eye irritation.
SKIN: Moderate irritant. May result in skin rash and dermatitis.
INHALED: Inhalation of dust may result in respiratory irritation.
CHRONIC EFFECTS:
Sensitisation reactions from repeated skin contact (rashes, dermatitis) may occur.
FIRST AID
SWALLOWED: Give water to drink. Seek medical advise.
EYE: Irrigate with copious quantities of water. In all cases of eye contamination it is a sensible precaution to
seek medical advice.
SKIN: Wash skin with soap and water. If irritation occurs seek medical advice.
INHALED: Remove victim from exposure - avoid becoming a casualty. Seek medical advice if effects
persist.
Poison Information Centres in each State capital city can provide additional assistance for schedule poisons.
