SPILL AND LEAK RESPONSE:
Small Spill - Contain spills and maximize recovery. Mop up or pump up promptly into metal or plastic drum. (Caution should be exercised in
the area of spilled material since solution can cause a slippery condition.)
Large Spill - Contain spill with dikes and transfer the material to appropriate containers for reclamation or disposal.
7. HANDLING and STORAGE
WORK PRACTICES AND HYGIENE PRACTICES: Avoid getting chemicals ON YOU or IN YOU. Wash hands after handling
chemicals. Do not eat or drink while handling chemicals. Remove any contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
HANDLING PRACTICES: Wear gloves and other protective clothing when handling this material. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on
clothing.
STORAGE PRACTICES: Avoid using containers, pipes and fittings made of zinc-clad, copper-bearing alloys or aluminum. Storage in
open containers may result in formation of an ammonium polyphosphate solid on walls. Protect from physical damage.
VENTING: Vessels should be vented in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. The vent should be constructed as to
prevent rainwater from entering the vessel.
