TRIETHYL-O-FORMATE
INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If breathing has stopped give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult
give oxygen.
EYES CONTACT: Immediately flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Assure
adequate flushing by separating eyelids with fingers.
SKIN CONTACT: Immediately wash skin with soap and copious amounts of water while removing contaminated
clothing and shoes. Discard contaminated clothing and shoes.
INGESTION: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Wash mouth out with water and call a physician. Never give
anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
SECTION 5 - FIRE - FIGHTING MEASURES
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Do not use water. Carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, or
appropriate foam.
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: If excessive smoke or fumes are encountered, wear self
contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to
prevent contact with skin and eyes.
UNUSUAL FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Flammable liquid ?Keep away from sources of ignition ?br>
NO SMOKING. Vapor may travel considerable distance
to source of ignition and flash back. Emits toxic fumes of
carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen oxides under
fire conditions.
SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
SPILLS OR LEAKS:
............. Evacuate area.
............. Shut off all sources of ignition.
............. Wear respirator, chemical safety goggles, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves.
