3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS
EYES: May cause irritation. Liquid splashes may result in more serious injuries. May cause lachrymation (tears).
SKIN: Product is moderately irritating to the skin. May cause skin sensitization.
INGESTION: May cause gastrointestinal disturbances, pain and discomfort. Product has a low order of acute oral toxicity.
INHALATION: Not likely to be an inhalation hazard.
ROUTES OF ENTRY: Ingestion, inhalation and skin absorption.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF OVEREXPOSURE
SKIN: Skin sensitization (allergy) may be evidenced by rashes, especially hives.
4. FIRST AID MEASURES
EYES: Flush with copious amounts of water for 15 minutes. Seek immediate medical aid.
SKIN: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash with soap and water. Consult a physician if any signs or symptoms
described in this document occur. Wash contaminated clothing. Contaminated leather articles, including shoes, cannot
be decontaminated and should be destroyed to prevent reuse.
INGESTION: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING (aspiration hazard). Seek immediate medical aid.
INHALATION: Remove victim from exposure. If victim is unconscious, administer artificial respiration and/or oxygen as
needed. Seek medical aid.
NOTES TO PHYSICIAN: In general, emesis induction is unnecessary in high viscosity, low volatility products like this
system.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Flashpoint and Method: 480F Penskey-Marten CC
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Water spray, foam, dry chemical, carbon dioxide or any Class B extinguishing agent.
FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Materials will not burn unless preheated. Do not enter confined fire space without full
bunker gear(helmet with face shield, bunker coats, gloves and rubber boots), including a positive pressure NIOSH
approved self-contained breathing apparatus. Cool fire exposed containers with water.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
GENERAL PROCEDURES: Remove all sources of ignition. Ventilate area. Absorb spill with an absorbent material such as
sawdust, vermiculite or sand and place in a closed container. If large spill, dike the area to prevent this material from
entering water systems or sewers. Dispose of hazardous waste only in a certified facility for hazardous waste handling
in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
GENERAL PROCEDURES: Read and observe all precautions on product label. Refer to product label or manufacturers
technical bulletins for the proper use and handling of this material. Do not use or store near flame, sparks or hot
surfaces. Use only in well ventilated area. Keep container closed. Do not weld, heat or drill container. Emptied container
still contains hazardous or explosive vapor or liquid.
Storage Temperature: 50F minimum to 100F maximum
SHELF LIFE: One (1) year when stored at room temperatures.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Use adequate ventilation to keep the airborne concentrations of this material below the
recommended exposure standard.
PERSONAL PROTECTION
EYES AND FACE: Wear safety glasses, face shield or chemical goggles.
SKIN: Wear appropriate impervious gloves to prevent skin contact.
RESPIRATORY: If a TLV or PEL listed in this data sheet is exceeded, then suitable respiratory protection must be worn to
prevent overexposure. A NIOSH/MSHA approved air purifying respirator with an organic vapor cartridge or canister may
be permissible under certain limited circumstances where airborne concentrations are expected to exceed exposure
limits. Protection provided by air purifying respirators is limited.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING: Wear protective clothing to prevent skin contact.
OTHER USE PRECAUTIONS: Eye wash station and safety shower should be available for emergency situations.

9. PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES
Physical State: Liquid
Appearance: Very Light yellowish color.
Boiling Point: >500F
10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
STABLE: Yes
HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: No
CONDITIONS TO AVOID: Can react vigorously with strong oxidizing agents, strong lewis or mineral acids, and strong
mineral and organic bases, especially primary and secondary aliphatic amines. Reaction with some curing agents may
produce considerable heat. Run-a-way cure reactions may char and decompose the resin system, generating
unidentified fumes and vapors which may be toxic.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION: Carbon monoxide, aldehydes, acids, and other organic substances may be formed
during combusion or elevated (>500F) temperature degradation.
11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
ACUTE
Skin: FOR EPOXY RESIN: THe skin absortion LD50 in rabbits is 20ml/kg.
Ingestion: FOR EPOXY RESIN: The oral LD50 in rats is 11,400mg/kg (Very low toxicity by ingestion).
Inhalation: FOR EPOXY RESIN: No deaths in saturated air for 8 hour LC30 inhalation test on rats. This inhalation test
may not be relevant due to low volatility of the resin.
CARCINOGENICITY
IARC: The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has concluded that DGEBPA (epoxy resin) is not
classifiable as a carcinogen (IARC Group 3) based on the following:
Human Evidence - Inadequate
Animal Evidence - Inadequate
MUTAGENICITY
This components of this epoxy resin system have proved to be inactive when tested by in vivo mutagenicity assays. The
components have shown activity by in vitro microbial mutagenicity screening and have both produced chromosomal
aberrations in cultured rat liver cells. The significance of this information to man is unknown.
12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
GENERAL COMMENTS: Keep out of surface waters, sewers, and waterways entering or leading to surface waters. Notify
authorities if any exposure to the general puplic or environment occurs or is likely to occur.
