ACGIH TLV: 1.4 MG/CUM Other Recommended Limit: 1 PPM
Other Ingredients: Non-crystalline silica, ethanol and proprietary trace elements.
Physical/Chemical Characteristics
Appearance And Odor: colorless paste w/ antiseptic odor.
Boiling Point: N/A Melting Point: N/A Solubility In Water: approx. 75%
Fire and Explosion Hazard Data
Flash Point: N/A Extinguishing Media: N/A.
Special Fire Fighting Proc: Safely cool w/water and remove container. Container containing clear liquid component may burst if overheated, releasing
hydrogen peroxide bleach. Keep at a safe distance if container is warm.
Unusual fire and explosive hazards: Mix container must not be tightly closed after mixing kit ingredients, or the mixture could cause container to burst
because it gradually releases oxygen gas. Do not put anything into the container with the clear liquid component -- this container should be poured out
fully, then discarded. If the clear liquid component is not used with the other kit component, it should be poured into at least ten to twenty volumes of
water for disposal.
Reactivity Data
Stability: YES Condition To Avoid (Stability): heat & sources of heat.
Materials to avoid: acids, bases, metals (long-term contact), salts of metals, reducing agents, organic materials (unless diluted with at least 10 - 20
volumes of water), and highly flammable substances.
Hazardous decomp products: oxygen, gas, heat, steam Hazardous polymerization may occur: no
Health Hazard Data
LD50-LC50 Mixture: ORAL LD50 (RAT): >1200 MG/KG Route Of Entry - Inhalation: YES, Skin: NO, Ingestion: YES
Health Hazard Acute And Chronic: Corrosive to mucous membrane eyes & skin. Inhalation: slight nose & throat irritation. Eyes: severe irritation &
serious/permanent lesions. Skin: irritation & burns. Ingestion: Corrosive to GI tract, severe irritation, burns, throat edema & suffocation, chemical
pneumonitis, pulmonary edema.
Carcinogenicity - NTP: NO, IARC: NO, OSHA: NO Explanation Carcinogenicity: NONE
Signs/Symptoms Of Overexposure: Temporary whitening and irritation of skin at contact area; eye watering and/or redness, swelling of eyelids; cough,
sore throat, nosebleeds, chronic bronchitis, perforation of GI tract. In extreme overexposure: shock, nausea, bloody vomiting, difficulty breathing.
First aid: immediately flush w/running water for 15 mins. Administer an analgesic eyewash if needed. Ingestion: if conscious - rinse mouth & give fresh
water. Don't induce vomiting. If unconscious - loosen collar & tight clothing. Give CPR/oxygen if needed.
Precautions for Safe Handling and Use
Steps If Material Released/Spill: avoid contact w/incompatible materials. Small spills: wipe up spill with towel or cloth, then immediately rinse the
towel/cloth with lots of water. Large spills: dike around the spill and dilute with at least 10 - 20 volumes of water. Further dilute any discharge into
sewer w/large amounts of water.
Waste Disposal Method: dispose of in accordance with federal, state & local regulations.
Corrosive un2014. Rcra waste no: d001, d002.
Precautions-Handling/Storing: store in a ventilated, cool area. Keep away from heat sources. Keep in original packaging, closed.
Other precautions: never return clear liquid component to original container. Use only containers that are compatible w/bleach. Containers &
equipment used to handle product should be used exclusively for that product.
Control Measures
Respiratory protection: use as needed. Wear a niosh approved full-face supplied air respirator for excessive concentrations.
Ventilation: local exhaust as needed. Protective gloves: polyvinyl chloride or rubber preferred. Eye protection: Chemical proof goggles or face shield as
needed. Other protective equipment: as needed. Work hygienic practices: remove and launder contaminated clothing before reuse. Supplemental safety
& health data: Special fire: Never approach containers which are warm. Obtain medical attention in all cases of exposure.
