Health Effects
No adverse health effects are expected if this product is used in accordance with the label.
No special symptoms of poisoning are to be expected. May irritate the eyes and skin. Facial skin
contact may cause temporary numbness. May cause respiratory irritation if inhaled.
Chronic: Animal studies show no evidence of oncogenic effect or carcinogenic or teratogenic
potential.
First Aid
If poisoning occurs contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre (telephone 13 11 26).
Swallowed
If swallowed and if more than 15 minutes from a doctor or hospital induce vomiting preferably
using Ipecac Syrup APF.
Skin
Remove any contaminated clothing and immediately wash affected area with soap and water.
Eye
Wash continually with water for 15 minutes.
Inhaled
Remove patient to fresh air and make comfortable. Ensure that patient is kept strictly at rest.
Advice to Doctor
If poisoning occurs apply basic aid and decontamination procedures. Treat symptomatically.

Personal Protection
Personal Protective Measures:
Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation. Do not inhale dust. Do
not touch treated seed.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Wear a full face respirator with combined dust cartridge while using product. Wear impervious
elbow-length gloves. Where repeated skin contact may occur, wear full body clothing including
washable hat and boots.
Industrial Hygiene:
If clothing becomes contaminated with product, remove clothing immediately. If product on skin,
immediately wash the area with soap and water. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking,
wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each day's use wash
contaminated clothing, gloves etc. with soap and water.
Flammability
Protection Against Fire:
Product is stable. Avoid strong oxidising agents. Keep away from sources of ignition. Not
flammable under normal conditions of use.
Safe Handling Information
Storage
Keep out of reach of children. Store in the tightly closed original container in a dry, well ventilated
area, as cool as possible. Do not store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Do not store near
any material intended for use or consumption by humans or animals. When treated seed is stored it
should be kept apart from other grain and the bags or other containers should be clearly marked to
indicate the contents have been treated with Baytan C seed dressing. Do not allow seed treated
with this product to contaminate seed intended or animal consumption. Do not allow seed treated
with this product to contaminate seed intended for human consumption. Do not use treated seed
for human consumption.

Spills
Prevent spill from spreading or entering waterways or drains. Vacuum or sweep up spilt material.
Fill material along with any contaminated soil etc. into containers. Clean affected area with an
aqueous detergent and a small amount of water. Absorb this with hydrated lime and place in a
sealable drum. On completion of clean-up remove and wash all protective clothing and equipment
with detergent and water. Any heavily contaminated clothing should be placed in a plastic garbage
bag and placed in a sealable drum. Do not smoke, eat or drink during the clean-up operation.
Disposal
1) After intended use:
Completely empty bag. Puncture and bury empty container in a local landfill (check statutory
requirements). If not available, bury the container below 500 mm in a marked disposal pit
specifically set up for this purpose, clear of waterways, vegetation and roots. Empty container and
product should not be burnt. Bags which have held treated seed should not be used for any other
purpose.
2) After spill or accident:
Dispose of sealed containers at an approved local waste disposal site.
