PRODUCT: DUPONT ALLY庐 HERBICIDE

HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION: (Continued)

Chronic Effects
Animal testing indicates that metsulfuron methyl does not have carcinogenic, developmental or reproductive
effects. There is a report indicating that metsulfuron methyl produced genetic damage in a mammalian cell culture
test, however, other tests with metsulfuron methyl in bacterial and mammalian cell cultures and in animals did
not product genetic damage. The weight of evidence suggests that metsulfuron methyl does not cause genetic
damage. Long term administration caused body weight loss.

Other Health Effects
No data is available to confidently predict the effects of overexposure to humans, however based on animal
studies, overexposure by inhalation, ingestion, or skin or eye contact may initially include eye irritation with
discomfort, tearing, or blurring of vision; or irritation of the upper respiratory passages. Repeated dermal exposure
may lead to skin irritation with discomfort or rash.

First Aid
Eye:
In cases of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek Medical attention.
Skin:
In case of contact, immediately wash skin with soap and plenty of water. Wash contaminated clothing before
reuse.
Inhaled:
Avoid breathing dust. If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is
difficult, give oxygen. Seek Medical attention.
Swallowed:
No specific intervention is indicated as the compound is not likely to be hazardous by ingestion. However, seek
Medical attention if necessary.

Advice to Doctor
No specific requirements. Treat symptomatically.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE (Continued)

Flammability
Not a fire and explosion hazard. May be ignited by heat or open flame.

Environment:
Metsulfuron methyl
96 hr LC50 (rainbow trout, bluegill sunfish): > 150 mg/L
8 day oral LC50 (bobwhite quail): > 5620 mg/kg

SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION
Storage and Transport:
Store in the closed, original container in a cool, dry, well ventilated area out of direct sunlight. Keep from contact
with fertilisers, fungicides and seeds.

Spills and Disposal:
Review FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS and SAFETY PRECAUTIONS before proceeding with cleanup. Use
appropriate PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT during clean up. Dyke spill. Prevent liquid from entering the
sewers, waterways, or low areas. Shovel or sweep up. DO NOT flush with water. If spill area is on ground near
trees or desirable vegetation, remove the top 50 mm of soil after initial cleanup. Treatment, storage,
transportation, and disposal must be in accordance with applicable Federal, State and local regulations. Triple
rinse the container, then puncture and dispose of in a sanitary landfill, or by other approved methods. DO NOT burn
empty containers or product.

Fire/Explosion Hazard:
Not a fire and explosion hazard. Like most organic powders, or crystals, under severe dusting conditions, this
material may form explosive mixtures in air. Evacuate personnel to a safe area. Wear self-contained breathing
apparatus and full protective equipment. Suitable extinguishing media: water spray, dry powder, foam, carbon
dioxide (CO2). On small fires, if area is heavily exposed to fire and if conditions permit, let fire burn itself out since
water may increase the contamination hazard.

Reactivity Data:
Stable at normal temperatures and storage conditions. Decomposition will not occur. Polymerisation will not
occur.
