Section VII - First Aid Measures
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
EYES: Flush with plenty of water. Call a physician if irritation persists.
SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation persists.
INGESTION: Do not induce vomiting. Call a physician or Poison Control Center immediately. Do not give
anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
INHALATION: Remove victim to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration preferably mouth-to-mouth.
Get medical attention.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: Inducing vomiting as first aid for this substance may result in increased risk of chemical
pneumonia or pulmonary edema caused by aspiration of the hydrocarbon solvent. Vomiting should be induced only
under professional supervision.

Section VIII - Accidental Release Measures
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Keep well ventilated. Dike area to avoid run-off. Soak up with absorbent material such as sand, earth, etc. and
shovel into waste container. Dispose of with chemical waste.

Section IX - Handling and Storage
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
HANDLING PRECAUTIONS: Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Avoid breathing spray. Do not use on
surfaces that can be harmed by water.
STORAGE PRECAUTIONS: Store product in original container and keep container closed when not in use. Do not
store near food or feed. Protect from freezing.
WORK/HYGIENIC PRACTICES: Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove contaminated
clothing and wash before reuse.

Section X - Exposure Controls/Personal Protection
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
EYE/FACE PROTECTION: Full face shield or chemical splash-proof goggles.
SKIN PROTECTION: Impermeable gloves.

Section XI - Toxicological Information
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION:
EYE EFFECTS: Category II: Corneal irritation which was reversible within 10 days.
SKIN EFFECTS: Irritation: Category II; severe dermal irritation Absorption: LD50 > 2,000 mg/kg
Sensitizing: Non-sensitizing
ACUTE ORAL EFFECTS: LD50 > 1,100 mg/kg
ACUTE INHALATION EFFECTS: LC50>7.5 mg/L air
CHRONIC (CANCER INFORMATION): In studies with laboratory animals, cypermethrin did cause reproductive
toxicity, teratogenicity, neurotoxicity or carcinogenicity in mail and female rats and mice.
CARCINOGENICITY: NTP: No IARC: No OSHA: No

Section XII - Ecological Information
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
ACUTE AND LONG-TERM TOXICITY TO FISH AND INVERTEBRATES: Cypermethrin is considered highly
toxic to fish and aquatic anthropods, and has LC50 values which range from 0.004 ug/L to 3.6 ug/L. The aquatic
anthropods tended to be some of the more sensitive species. Car should be taken to avoid contamination of the
aquatic environmental.
ACUTE AND DIETARY TOXICITY TO BIRDS: Cypermethrin is practically non-toxic to birds having oral LD50
values greater than 10,248 mg/kg.
ENVIRONMENTAL FATE INFORMATION: Cypermethrin is rapidly degraded in soil with a half-life of 2 to 4
weeks. It is readily hydrolyzed under basic conditions but, under acidic and neutral conditions, hydrolysis half-life
can be 20 to 29 days. Cypermethrin has a high affinity for organic matter and a Log Pow of 5.0; yet, because of the
ease with which the material undergoes degradation it has a very low potential for bioconcentration (BCF = 17), and
is not mobile in soil.
OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment
washwaters. For terrestrial uses, do not apply directly to and body of water, or to any areas where surface water is
present or to intertidal areas below mean high water mark. Care should be used when spraying to avoid fish and
reptile pets by removing and covering fish tanks before spraying.

Section XIII - Disposal Considerations
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: Pesticide wastes are acutely hazardous. Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray
mixture or rinsate is a violation of Federal Law. If these wastes cannot be disposed of according to label instructions,
contact your State Pesticide or Environmental Control Agency, or the Hazardous Waste representative of the nearest
EPA Regional Office.
CONTAINERS DISPOSAL: Metal Containers: Triple rinse (or equivalent). Then offer for recycling or
reconditioning, or puncture and dispose of in a sanitary landfill, or by other procedures approved by state and local
authorities.
Plastic Containers: Triple rinse (or equivalent). Then offer for recycling or reconditioning, or puncture and dispose
of in a sanitary landfill, or by incineration, or, if allowed by state and local authorities, by burning. If burned, stay
out of smoke.
Containers less than one gallon: Wrap container in several layers of newspaper and discard in trash.

Section IX - Transport Information
