3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION

Ethyl alcohol: flammable.
Formalin: Toxic by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed. Causes burns. Possible risk of
irreversible effects. May cause sensitisation by skin contact. Canc. Cat 3.
Phosphomolibdic acid: Contact with combustible material may cause fire. Causes burns.
Pyronin Y: Harmful by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed. Possible risk of irreversible effects.
Orange G: Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin.
Fast Green FCF: Harmful by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed. Possible risk of irreversible
effects.

Inhalation : remove to fresh air, If not breathing give artificial
respiration. Call a physician
Eyes : flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15
minutes. Assure adequate flushing by separating the
eyelids with fingers
Skin : flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15
minutes, stubborn stains may be removed with repeated
alcohol swaps followed by soap and water. Remove
contaminated clothing and shoes
Ingestion : wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious.
Call a physician immediately. Do not induce vomiting.


5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Fire hazard : flammable at temperatures above 100? C.
Extinguishing media : water spray, carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder or
appropriate foam.
Special fire fighting procedure : wear self contained breathing apparatus and protective
clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes. Toxic
fumes may be emitted under fire conditions.
Unusual fire and explosion hazards : not established.


6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Rinse spill area with water, wash contaminated clothing before reuse.


7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Store at room temperature (15-25?Avoid direct contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Do not breath vapour.

may include burning sensation, coughing, wheezing,
laryngitis, shortness of breath, headache, nausea and
vomiting. Inhalation may result in spasm, inflammation
and edema of the larynx and bronchi, chemical
pneumonitis, and pulmonary edema. Coughing, chest
pains, difficulty in breathing. Gastrointestinal
disturbances. May cause convulsions. Listed as
carcinogen by NTP, IARC, OSHA, ACGIH and EPA. To
the best of our knowledge, the chemical, physical and
toxicological properties have not been thoroughly
investigated.
Target organs: Eyes, kidneys, liver and heart.
