Flash point: > 96.7 癈 / 206.1 癋
Fire and Explosion Hazards: Dangerous gases are evolved in the event of a fire.
Suitable Extinguishing Media: Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon
dioxide.
Unsuitable extinguishing
Media: High volume water jet.
Fire Fighting Instructions: Remove product from areas of fire, or otherwise cool containers with
water in order to avoid pressure being built up due to heat. Whenever
possible, contain fire-fighting water by diking area with sand or earth.
In the event of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes. In the event
of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
VI. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
In case of spill or leak: Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Avoid contact with
spilled product or contaminated surfaces. When dealing with a spillage
do not eat, drink or smoke. Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g.
sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder). Keep in suitable, closed
containers for disposal. Clean floors and contaminated objects with
plenty of water.
Information regarding safe handling see Section VII. Information regarding personal protective equipment see
Section VIII. Information regarding waste disposal, See section XIII. Check also for any local site procedures.

to the technical-grade active ingredient, oxadiazon.
Acute Oral Toxicity (female rat LD50): > 2,000 mg/kg
Acute Dermal Toxicity (rat LD50): > 2,000 mg/kg
Acute Inhalation Toxicity (rat: LC50):
> 2.31 mg/L
Exposure time: 4 h
Determined in the form of liquid aerosol; highest concentration tested;
No deaths.
(rat: LC50): > 9.24 mg/L
Exposure time: 1 h
Determined in the form of liquid aerosol; extrapolated from the 4 hr
LC50.
Skin Irritation (rabbit): Slight irritation.

Chronic Toxicity: Oxadiazon caused liver effects in chronic studies in rats, mice and
dogs.
Assessment Carcinogenicity: Oxadiazon has been shown to cause liver tumors in lifetime feeding
studies in rats and mice.
Reproductive Toxicity: Oxadiazon was not a primary reproductive toxicant in a
multigeneration reproduction study in rats. Reproductive effects were
observed only at doses that caused systemic toxicity in adult rats.
Developmental Toxicity: Oxadiazon was not a primary developmental toxicant in rats and
rabbits. Developmental effects were observed but were considered
secondary to maternal toxicity.
Neurotoxicity: Oxadiazon did not demonstrate the potential to cause neurotoxicity in
standard toxicity studies using laboratory animals.
Mutagenicity: Oxadiazon is not considered mutagenic or genotoxic based on the
overall weight of evidence in a battery of in vitro and in vivo tests.
