5) SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: For fires involving this material, do not enter
any enclosed or confined fire space without proper protective equipment, including self-
contained breathing apparatus. See hazardous decomposition products. Read the entire
MSDS.
6) UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Liquid evaporates and forms vapor
(fumes) which can catch fire and burn with explosive violence. Invisible vapor spreads easily
and can be set on fire by many sources such as pilot lights, welding equipment, and electrical
motors and switches. Fire hazard is greater as liquid temperature rises above 85癋.

2) CONDITIONS TO AVOID: May react with strong oxidizing materials.
3) INCOMPATABILITY (Materials to Avoid): Keep away from strong oxidizing agents.
4) HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: Normal combustion forms carbon dioxide
and water vapor and may produce oxides of nitrogen; incomplete combustion can produce
carbon monoxide.
5) HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: Will not occur.

SECTION V ?HEATH HAZARD DATA

b. CHRONIC: See emergency first aid procedures.
4) SIGNS AND SYMTOMS OF EXPOSURE: Signs and symptoms of central nervous system
effects may include one or more of the following: headache, dizziness, loss of appetite,
weakness, and loss of coordination. Affected persons usually experience complete recovery
when removed from exposure.
5) MEDICAL CONDITIONS GENERALLY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: See emergency
first aid procedures.

Adurel MSDS - PC750 A 2
6) EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES: Seek medical assistance for further treatment,
observation and support if necessary
7) EYE CONTACT: May cause eye irritation. Flush eyes immediately with fresh water for at
least 15 minutes while holding the eyelids open. If irritation persists, see a doctor. Do not get
in eyes. Eye contact can be avoided by wearing chemical safety goggles.
8) SKIN CONTACT: May cause skin irritation. Remove heavily contaminated clothing and
wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Do not use solvents or thinners to remove
materials from skin. Asphalt can be removed with vegetable oil or mineral oil. Avoid
prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact with this material. Skin contact can be
minimized by wearing impervious protective clothing including gloves.
9) INHALATION: Breathing mineral oil mist can cause central nervous system effects. If
there are signs or symptoms as described in this bulletin to breathing this material, move the
person to fresh air. If breathing has stopped, apply artificial respiration. Call a doctor.
10) INGESTION: Not expected to have acute systemic toxicity by ingestion. Not to physician:
This material contains light hydrocarbon liquids and an aspiration hazard may exist. If
swallowed, give water or milk to drink and telephone for medical advice. Consult medical
personnel before inducing vomiting. If medical advice cannot be obtained, then take the
person and product container to the nearest medical emergency treatment center.

SECTION VI ?CONTROL AND PROTECTIVE MEASURES

1) RESPIRATORY PROECTION (Specify type): Wear approved respiratory protection such
as an organic vapor cartridge respirator or an air-supplying respirator unless ventilation is
adequate.
2) PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Recommended
3) EYE PROTECTION: Recommended
4) VENTILATION TO BE USED:
a. Local exhaust (see other)
b. Mechanical ventilation (general) (see other)

b. Clean up small spills using appropriate techniques such as absorbent materials or
pumping.
c. Where feasible and appropriate, remove contaminated soil.
d. Follow prescribed procedures for reporting and responding to larger releases.
2) WASTE DISPOSAL METHODS: Place contaminated materials in disposable containers
and dispose of in a manner consistent with applicable regulations. Contact local
environmental or health authorities for approved disposal of this material.
